"I’m still entangled in a messy marriage and don’t want another relationship."
Her words replayed in my mind over and over, hours after she’d left. I tried to dissect the meaning behind her words. Every time I tried, I was just left feeling more unsettled.
Was I being delusional when I sensed attraction between us? Or was I just being insensitive.
My conscience started eating me up the moment she left. I could still see the pain her stormy grey eyes carried as they stared defiantly into mine.
