Don't You Dare

After a heavy nights sleep, i sneeked out of my room early in the morning, i looked into Tina's bedroom and saw Gemma and Maria-Hope asleep on the floor at the foot of Tina's bed, where her ashes still lay. I gently closed the door and ran down to the library to try and find out something that would help beat this soul keeper and get my mum back.

I found books on demons and hell dimensions, but found nothing that will get a human in and out of the dead zone. I worked through all the books and took notes, i read page after page and i was getting nowhere. Hours went by but every corner i turned and stone i turned over, left no information on this subject. However, i decided to change my strategy, i started to look for information on a soul keeper and how to destroy it. I put the book in my bag so i could explore it in private.

Just then Maria-Hope walked in, she asked "Brendon? what are you upto?" I replied in frustration "ive found all these books and read every page i cannot find anything on how to destroy a hell demon or soul keeper, whatever it's called" Maria sat next to me and said "look you cannot do anything you have to sit tight and put your trust in Gemma and me now" i argued "oh and look where that got you, your mum is dead because of me", consolling me Maria said" none of this is your fault".

Giving up hope i sat back in the chair and started to close the books. I wiped my tired face and set ready to clear the books up and put them away, Maria started to help and realised i was trying to find away into the hell dimension.

Very angry she turned to me and said "what have you been trying to find, you told me that you were looking into killing the demon not how to get yourself in there, are you bloody stupid?". "Look" i argued "i want to help what happens if you or Gemma are the next ones to be killed", as me and Maria argued Gemma walked in to the room and exclaimed "will you both pack it in we need to give mum a proper send off".Me and Maria looked at each other with a silent pause, we both realised that she was right, it is unfair that we both should be arguing. At the same time we both apolodgised.

We followed Gemma to Tina's room, we stood around the bed. Gemma held her hands over the ash and chanted a spell. Which made Tina's ashes swirl into a little urn.

We took Tina's ashes to the main hall were we gave her a little send off, the room was filled with the vampires that she brought in to protect them from the outside world. Also the same ones thay chased me like an antilope escaping a pack of lions.

One of the vampires approached me as the room was silent and said "all of us are so sorry that we chased you through the bunker. None of us have had human blood for a very long time and when Gemma said" i interupted "don't worry yourself, it's fine". He offered his hand, introducing himself "i'm Toby" "Brendon" i replied friendly shaking his hand. He told me "to find the answers your looking for, find the library of dark magic", "where will i find it" i asked with thrill.

"Vampires are forbidden to enter this room but humans have never tried, talk to your girlfriend and see what you find". He then walked off, leaving me with a suspicious thought of him, is he trying to hand me to something evil, what if he was a follower of the soul keeper?

As i looked around the room at all the upset faces, the room was saddened by the loss of a friend, a protector but most importantly of all a mother.

I turned to pick up my bag and snuck out the hall, down the corridor to my room, i closed the door and locked it, i took the book i found at the library out of my bag, sat on the bed and started to read. The book was old and beaten, this book has definatly seen better day's.

I gently opened the cover, but the page was blank, i turned the second page, this page was also blank, i gentley flicked the through the hole book, and yet it was all blank pages, but the question is why. Fed up, i put my head in my hands and huffed. The heat from my breath showed some writting on the page, seeing this excited me, i was finally getting somewhere, but where was i going to get heat. I pulled the wardrobe away from the wall and found a heater tucked in behind.

I turned the heater up to it's max and sat next to it with the book over the heat. What it revealled was nothing of any use, by at least i statted making progress, at least this book actuslly has some use.

Just as i read half the book still with no information, i heard a wisper of a voice behind me, i looked but yet there was no one there, as i turned another page, the book seemed to come alive, the writting moved around the page and the pictures revealled a chalis and a dragger. I did not understand the link between the chalis and dagger, but i finally found something that maybe the first step to destroying the soul keeper, and getting my mum back safely.

I closed the book and turned to see a tall black figure trapping me in the room. Fearing the monster that has to be out for me, i edged my way around the room it, charged towards me i grabbed the book and bag, it tried to take the book from me, i ran to the door unlocked the door and ran down the corridor, as i ran, i turned and looked, the dark entity was chasing me, I ran into the main hall where everybody was sat saying there final farewells to Tina. I shouted for help i was being chased which paniced the hole hall.

As i panic struck the room and all the vampires stood ready to attack, they pounced and grabbed the dark entity. The entity threw them off throwing them into the wall, the vampires were being thrown left right and centre. Gemma and Maria-Hope cast some sort of spell which threw the entity to the floor, amd trapped it down. Gemma and Maria was holding it down with their powers. Maria-Hope agressively asked "what are you? and where have you come from?"

With a deep gravally voice the entity menacingly said" i have been sent to collect the book of the souls". The entity seeped away from the spell, I slipped the book into my bag, meanwhile, the entity was still here somewhere in the bunker nowhere to be seen, Maria-Hope shouted "everybody be on your guard, we need to find it and what ever you do don't let him get that book" "you lot" Gemma commanded the vamps "come with me".

Maria-Hope and i ran towards the library with 3 others. I unfortunatly did not realise that the book i had, was the book of souls which was in my bag. We looked around the library to find the entity, but to no such luck. I asked "what does this book do? and what does it look like?" "The Book" Maria answered "is very old but in there it contains all the secrets of the underworld and it is very dangerous in the wrong hands, if you hold it near heat and your worthy of what you NEED to know, then it's like the pages come alive".

Dreading it i had to tell her, but how do i tell her that it was my fault AGAIN. "Maria" i called "i may have had something to do with this" "what have you done?" she demanded to know. I got the bag off my back and took out the book. "You had it?" she asked in anger. Suddenly i felt unsafe just by the change in attitude.

Just then Gemma crashed through the library door, and shouted "MARIA-HOPE".

Maria had a devious look about her, her attitude changed suddenly, she was not the person i thought i knew. Gemma walked in and told me "Brendon get behind me NOW, shes the keeper". shocked and confused i shouted "WHAT?" I ran and slipped on my knees past Maria's grasp, as i went to get up Maria put some sort of freeze spell on me. I could not move, although i was desperate to flee the room. Maria-Hope devishly observed "well done sister how'd you know?" Gemma threatened "dont you dare call me sister, you traitor, i was suspicious of you anyway, when that entity kept getting in, there could only be a magical way of getting through the barrier, but how and why? then it hit me it had to be an inside job, and seens as there was only 3 witches in here, and now one has gone, the answer became very obvious". Breaking down into tears Gemma cried "you killed our mother", Maria explained "Oh Gemma she wasn't my mother, just like im not your sister, you were all hypnotised to believing that i was. I played you all, i just had to kidnap a virgins mother who dabbled in magic, a half witch to give it, well, it's proper term, it was easy, all i had to do was gain the trust of Brendon knowing he wanted to save his mother and would do anything to get to her back, i knew he would try and find an answer, so i set it up. It had to be a body of pure none magical presence, to take the book from Tina's spell that she placed on the book for it's safe keeping, so thank you Brendon".

Things started getting rough as i was still frozen between two very powerful witches, that seemed to be brewing a magical b***h fight, Gemma unfroze me and through me out the door behind her. Maria-Hope raised into the air and the 3 vampires that where there with us looking for the book tried to escape. With her powers Maria ripped apart a chair and used the wooden splinters and jousted the 3 vampires through the back and pearced the heart. They immediatly turned to ash.

I was stood amongst the other vampires. Maria-Hope raised her hand to the vampires and mind controlled them to pick up the stakes and run them through their own hearts, so they did, no matter how much Gemma tried she could not break the the magical mind control connection, Maria had on the vampires.

Maria and Gemma started a magical war between themselves, Gemma tried with all her power to stop her but Maria-Hope was just too strong. Maria over powered Gemma and Gemma flew through the air onto a near by table.

Maria flicked her hand and the bag and book flew off my back and flew into her hands, Maria told us "you are the pure one you will bring me the chalis and dagger and your mother will live", she smiled and disappeared with the book.

Just then Toby ran in helped Gemma up, off the floor. knowing we need to get that book back off of Maria-Hope, we needed to make a plan to get us in and out, with my mother, the book and most importantly our lives, and this needed to be down quick, this has now turned the tables big time.

As Toby sat with Gemma i ran to the kitchen to get her a drink of water, i took a glass from the cupboard and found the ice bag in the freezer, i tool the drink out to Gemma in hooes that it would chill her out and relax her abit.
