Late nights

XXVII

Lola and Caroline decided to meet up to celebrate Lola's big achievement. Caroline told her that she still had a couple of beers hidden around. She took two of them and right before the meetup called Lola:

- It's pouring outside. - Caroline said.

- That's perfect. Remember that one time you told me that you want to stand in the rain with someone you love. Let's do that right now.

- You know what, that might be perfect.

Caroline met up with Lola in the pouring rain and immediately kissed. Caroline popped open the beers and they took a long chug together.

- This is amazing. - Lola smiled and hugged Caroline.

- Lola, I know I've said this time and time before, but I truly love you. I know I don't say it sometimes and there are times where we argue and stuff, but I literally couldn't ask for anyone better. 

- I know, I love you too. So, where are we gonna go? Are we just gonna stand in the rain with a beer in our hands? I think that's illegal to some extent. - Lola wiped her face.

- You're right, let's go back to the dorms. I think Emily isn't home.

- Sounds like a plan. 

They walked back to the dorms and took off their clothes to let them dry off.

- There's a whole storm going on outside. - Lola looked out the window.

- So, grandmaster. You've been talking about that since the day I met you. Finally, you did it. How does it feel?

- Honestly, it feels incredible, but also feels a little empty also.

- Yeah, I can understand that. But you're a woman grandmaster, so there's still some road to becoming a real grandmaster.

- Exactly. You see, this is why I like you. Whenever I doubt myself, you always encourage me.

- That's my job - Caroline smiled.
