CHAPTER 4

Alexander. I glared at Liam, my best friend and underboss. “I don't see why I have to attend this meeting” I said, pouring myself a glass of whiskey losing my tie. Liam shrugged. “You're the boss, Alex. You need to be there.” I raised an eyebrow. “Can't you handle it for once?” Liam chuckled. “You know I can, but this is a big deal. We need to land this client, and your presence will seal the deal.” I sighed, knowing Liam was right. I downed my whiskey and headed out the door. “Let’s go dummy” I called out to Liam who looks surprised. “Just like that?” he asked in disbelief and I chuckled. I don’t really like showing up for any of my legal business meetings, I usually leave everything in Liam’s hands. I prefer dealing with the illegal and dark side of business, you the killing and all, it gives me a thrill. The meeting was a blur of suits and handshakes, but I played the part of charming CEO to perfection. After the meeting, Liam and I grabbed dinner at a nearby diner. As we ate, Liam filled me in on the latest gossip from the business world. I listened, nodding along as people starred at us. A phone rang and Liam paused what he was saying to pick up his call. After a minutes or two arguing on his phone while I acted uninterested already wanting to go home. “It’s Jeremy Boss, he says the ship arrived safe but Viktor wants to see you” Luke said dropping the phone on the table and I shrugged. “Why does he want to see me. The shipment already arrived safe, the final part of the deal is done, his part so…” I said cleaning my mouth with napkin done with this meal. “He said Viktor had some sensitive things to discuss with you” Luke replied and I rolled my eyes. “Discuss it with him, I need to get back to the house, one of those brats is at it again” I said standing up and throwing a bundle of cash on the table. “You know he won’t, the bastard has had it for me since that Zinc’s mission and you know it” Liam whined and I smirked, that I know. Viktor has hated Luke’s guts since their last mission together, where Luke left him to go and f**k a w***e. “Alright, alright. Where?” I said walking out of the diner. …………………………………………………………………………………. I stepped into the dimly lit club, the pulsating music and flashing lights enveloping me. My men bowing their heads to me, a sign of respect. “Can't you handle this meeting, Liam? He won’t kill you” I said as we stepped into the elevator taking us to the VIP space. Liam raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, thanks boss no and Viktor specifically asked for you, Alex. He's got some sensitive information to share.” I sighed, knowing that Liam wouldn't have told me in if it wasn't important. “Fine. Let's get this over with.” I said as we entered the space. The VIP space has a one-way glass; we could see the people downstairs but they couldn’t see us and this gives us absolute privacy as it is soundproof and an alarm goes off once any bug has been detected, courtesy of my youngest brother. As we waited for Victor to arrive, I scanned the down space, my eyes landing on a girl. She was dancing with a group of friends, laughing and carefree. My first thought was: she's gorgeous in an earthly way, her curves endless, her hips looks like they were made for me, thick which I particularly like. Her t**s, larger than the average, they looked like they will fill my large hands and still be plenty for. I wonder what color her n*****s will be, maybe brown like her skin but darker or pink. f**k, my c**k is straining in my pants. After some time, her friend left, leaving just her dancing. But what caught my attention was when she kicked a guy in the groin. He doubled over, clutching himself, and she stormed off. Victor arrived, and we conducted our business. Afterward, I stepped outside for a smoke. That's when I saw her again, the girl with spark. This time, she was struggling with the same guy she'd kicked earlier. My instincts kicked in, and I strode forward, my fists clenched at my sides. The guy was trying to drag her away, but she was fighting back with every ounce of strength she had but when he brought out a handkerchief and stuff it under her nose, it was probably laced with drugs. I grabbed the guy's arm, twisting it behind his back. “Let her go,” I growled. He tried to struggle, but I held him firm. The girl stumbled backward, gasping for breath. I released the guy with a shove, sending him stumbling away. Then I turned to the girl, concern etched on my face. But before I could even think about asking her if she was okay, her eyes rolled back, and she slumped forward, unconscious. I caught her in my arms, holding her upright. I could smell the mixture of sweet scent and the chemical scent of the drugged towel the guy had used on her. Anger surged through me, but I pushed it aside, focusing on getting her to safety. I scooped her up into my arms and started walking, scanning the area for my car. As I walked, I couldn't help but notice how fragile she seemed, how vulnerable. And yet, just moments before, she'd been fighting back with every ounce of strength she had. Who was this girl? And what had brought her into my world?
