Chapter 6Jet slipped out early in the morning, like a coward, leaving Darken a graceful sprawl of white limbs and snaky black hair, like a turn-of-the-century erotic drawing. It was tempting to stay, and leaving was probably rude, but Jet needed to get his head together, and to actually sleep, neither of which was likely to happen with a naked Darken next to him. They had spent half the night exploring each other’s bodies, and when Darken dozed off, Jet lay awake in the unfamiliar bed, asking himself what the hell he thought he was doing, was he trying to get his heart broken?
