Mark came back from lunch and found Aleyna busy working, she hadn’t even spotted him entering her room. Only when he had bent down to give a lingering kiss on her exposed neck did she notice him. She inhaled deeply while closing her eyes swept by its magic. He had turned her around facing him with her eyes still closed and was about to kiss her lips when she opened her eyes and backed away from him. He was startled by her sudden reaction but didn’t show it although at the back of his mind he knew something was awry. She looked like the old Aleyna, withdrawn, shutting herself from the world especially from him. The girl who opened up to him last night was gone. He wondered what might have occurred all of a sudden.
