Stone stopped in the middle of the room. He didn't come any closer to her. He put a serene expression on his face; he felt sorry for her and didn't know what to make of her reaction or facial expression, so he asked at a distance.
"Are you in pain?" The handsome male asked her as she glared at his concerned face. "If you are, I have your pain medicine right here."
She shook her head no.
"I promise I'm not going to harm you."
She did have pain, but it subsided long enough to clear her mind. India tried to remember where she was and what had happened to her, and why she was in the care of a young Caucasian man that stood across the room from where she lay in this luxury bed.
