"You need to understand that being the first born does not grantee that you are the next Alpha" Mother spoke, her voice was calm and you could tell she is worried just by hearing her voice.

I don't why she keeps on ringing this same words to my ears every single time she get the chance to talk to me, it is always the same old topic every single time and I'm getting so sick of hearing her repeating those same words.

"Doesn't she get tried of saying the same thing over and over again ?" I asked myself as I sighted lightly

I used two fingers to slowly massage my temple, using it as a way of calming myself down.

"I understand mom, you want me to get a mate so I can get father's favour and eventually become the next Alpha" I answered and took a sip from my glass of whiskey.

She scoffed and walked towards me, she to her seat next to me and held my hands.

"I know you think I'm being too harsh on you" she replied and I nodded in agreement.

"Yes you are being too harsh" I replied and she hissed.

"You haven't found your mate yet and it makes me really anxious, what do you think people would say ?" She asked her voice laced with concern and I chuckled.

"Let them say what they want to say, they are all coward and none of them could say it to my face" I replied.

It was true, people say a while lot of things about me but the best they can do is gossip none of them have the nerves to say it to my face.

They wouldn't dare, expect they have a death wish.

"I know that dom but can't you see you gone past the age to find a mate why the hell are you still waiting for your mate ?" She asked angrily and I frowned.

I know exactly what she was driving at, I have gone past the age to find a mate, I mean it has been over ten years now but I still haven't find her but I am still waiting patiently for her.

Maybe the moon goddess is doing this just to punish me for being too cruel and ruthless and killing a whole lot of people, I would gladly expect it as a punishment and wait.

Or maybe, just maybe I was meant to be like this forever with no mate, just the cold hearted, lonely wolf I'm I would gladly expect that.

"Mom you don't need to worry about that, I would find her" I simply answered and she frowned.

"When ? When would you find her ? You know what ? Just forget about finding her and pick a new mate !" She responded and I frowned.

What does she mean pick a new mate ?

Does she plan on matchmaking me with someone else ?

She had done that before and it didn't work, and I don't think it will ever do. None of them felt real, I was unable to love any of them and I felt like they where all fake.

I hate it, I don't want to get involved with any other woman.

"No mom, you tried it and it failed I won't try that again it just time wasting and completely useless" I answered and she immediately let go of my hands angrily and stood you.

"You are just too adamant and won't listen to any thing I say but this time around I won't let you win" she replied sharply and I chuckled.

"Anabella Adams the third child and only daughter of Alpha Adams of the Light park, she is a lycan princess and have royal alpha blood flowing in her." She explained and I frowned my brows as I listened to her speak.

"What about her ? And why do I have to know all this details about her ?" I asked curiously and she smiled.

The smile on her face made me a little bit anxious, I could tell that she was planning something in her head as I watched her smile and I'm certain whatever it is won't sit right with me.

"She would be your mate !" She announced and I burst into an uncontrolled laughter.

Of all people mother could choose to be my mate she choose Anabella to be my mate ?

The lycan princess ? The arrogant and crazy lady ? Don't she know we have a long line of bad relationship together ?

"Hell no mom ! Never !" I answered as I immediately stood up from where I was seated.

"I don't care about your opinion Dominick, Anabella is a good lady and is the perfect mate for you" she answered and I chuckled.

"You got to be kidding me right now, she has a mate what happened to him ?" I asked and sighted.

I heard she was mated to an omega a year ago, that why she stopped chasing after me. Why is she back now ?

"He died, probably because she is meant for you" she answered and picked up her hand bag.

She was getting set to leave now that she is done with what she came for.

"Died ? Why ?" I asked and she shurgged nonchalantly.

"I don't know ? Why would I care ? All that matters is you are now he'd mate" she answered and strated to leave but stopped.

"What else ?" I asked and she smiled.

"Dinner at the house by tomorrow morning. Make sure you come okay ?" She answered and I didn't give her a responses.

There is no way I would go for a dinner in that house and for Anabella, mom is just kidding.
