As Willows body hit the water, it was time had stood still. She was unable to move and her body was stuck taking in gulps of water as she sank. Fear had taken over and she was unable to react logically. Darkness surrounded her but within a couple of minutes all fear had passed. She was able to breath freely as she felt a small light surround her throat where a choker with a pink pearl lay. She always wore it as it was given to her by her mother on her death bed with the memory of the good times they had. Why was it glowing though? She wondered and she observed it for a brief moment before taking her surroundings.
The shadows from the murky depths that surrounded her was surprisingly calm compared the storm above and gave her a sense of security. All was quiet until five creatures, seemed to surround her from below, the darkness hiding their image. "A daughter of Neptune" she heard one of the shadows whisper "How can this be?"
Turning to look around she was confused as there seemed to be nothing around her. Trying to move was impossible as she seemed to be locked into place. Was she dead? Is this why she was calm? Who was Neptune? Who are these creatures? Why am I stuck? All these questions surrounded her as she tried to move. "She's awake" another whispered, "What should we do?" asked the third. Their voices sounded aetherial but something told Willow that she was not to fully trust it.
"We must take her to mother... she will know..." whispered the fourth. "NO!" hissed the fifth. "She does not need to know of this yet. Master must be told first. He will want to see how this can benefit him getting the crown. Free heeeerrrr.... for now but we will follow the boat." Hums of agreement followed and like that, Willow felt the movement return to her body once more encouraging her to kick back to the surface.
"She must forget" hissed one of the creatures. "Sebastian... clear her mind." With that, Willow felt a creature come up behind her and hold her waist. With a moment of struggling, Willow felt her movements restricted once more. His scaled webbed hands felt cold on her skin and a forehead on the back of her head seemed to be surrounded in scales.
Closing her eyes, she heard chanting from the creature, he was lulling her into a sleep... a sleep to forget. Willow fought the song the best she could but her energy levels were low from the fall and fighting to stay alive. Her body seemed to accept his actions but just before she fell asleep, the light from her choker shone brighter and engulfed both her and the creature in a bubble of light.
Hisses surrounded her as she felt the others shadows leave, the light not to their liking. Her mind going blank, a whisper she had heard before stuck in her head, "You must not forget." Forget what? she wondered she felt the shadows swallow her, rendering her unconscious.
