"Thank you so much, Ben." I said to my driver/bodyguard as the car rolled to stop in front of the house I called a home up until a couple of weeks ago. I hadn't been gone for long, but it sure felt like ages since I had been to my parent's house.
My feet were suddenly heavy, and I didn't feel like alighting from the car anymore. I suddenly wanted to tell Ben to drive and take me back to the house, which was becoming a part of me by the day.
Ben didn't say a thing and instead got out of the car and rounded it, so he could come open the door for me.

I had been so lost in my thoughts I had forgotten I was more than capable of opening my door by myself. "Thank you," I said meekly as I got down from the vehicle. Embarrassment tinged my cheeks.
