Kristoff's POV
We've arrived to this place shortly before lunch time, went to the hotel, which is right in the old town, and than went straight to the nearest steak house to eat. We are all big werewolves, we need to eat a lot. After two hours of feasting in that restaurant, we went strolling around the old town. It's way more peaceful than the capital city, of course.
"So, do we have to suit up or it's casual, Archie?" asked Bjorn, while we were all sitting on the bench near some cathedral and sipping a coffee to go.
"It's just a rehearsal, sure, but we are all men of culture, aren't we, Bjornito?" said Arthur teasing Bjorn back by messing with his name. Arthur doesn't like to be called Archie. Only Bjorn still does this to him, but it's more of a fun from both of them, than an insult.
"That we are, Arthur, no doubts about that!" replied Bjorn while standing up and making a small curtsy in front of us with his right hand on his chest. We all chuckled.
Bjorn is together with Rolland my best friend since we were little pups. His mother Saga was one of my father's best shewolf fighters. She is still the best fighter amongst our women, she could fight with men with honour too. But she is now the main trainer of our shewolf fighters. Bjorn's father is unfortunately death already. He was my father's beta, too. Great fighter and attracted to books and history of us, werewolves. Bjorn's got the best from both of them. With his pretty face, muscular tattooed body, he could have every girl he wants in his bed. He knows it and he is using it. I sometimes feel sorry for the girls. I mean, Bjorn always play a clear game with them, he is not promising them a future together. But most of them think, that they are different, that he will change for them. Well, sorry about that, girls. As far as I know him, that'll never happen. Unless with a mate. Although Bjorn claims he doesn't want a mate, calls it just a construct. I think there's a different reason for his pessimistic opinion, but let's talk about it later...
"Hey, you man of culture, you haven't told us a thing about history of this place, yet. Are you ill or something?" Rolland suddenly teased Bjorn. As I said, he's got the best from both of his parents and his father was a big history fan. So is Bjorn and he likes to educate us on our trips, oh excuse me, on our stag parties.
"Oh, I see you finally wanted to be enlightened by knowledge. Well, first of all, let me..." started Bjorn, but I zoomed out. Thinking about our Rolland, Rollo as we all call him. With Bjorn and him, we are a strong trio, strongest in our pack, that's why we lead them. We trust each other with our lives. Same as our parents used to. There was a war between our pack together with few other Northern packs and a big bunch of Russian vampires. It was huge, we were about 7-8 years old back then. Final battle was epic, but we have lost few of our best ones. Including Bjorn's father and Rollo's both parents. He was calm kid even before the tragic event, but after that he lost his most loved ones, he grew even calmer. He loves all kinds of guns, armour and blacksmithing. With his long black hair always tied in a braid, and a big beard, he was the most viking looking in our group. Mostly foreign girls fall for his appearance, but he wasn't taking advantage of it. Sure he doesn't say no, if he likes the girl and her company. But I know he is also waiting for his mate to appear somewhere. Not as desperately as me, though.
"Shouldn't we be going back to hotel to prepare and as Bjorn said, to suit up?" I asked interrupting Bjorn's history lesson. Bjorn inhales as if wanted to continue, but I looked straight into his eyes and non verbally giving him a clear signal, that I am not debating. I am still his alpha, who he must obey.
"Oh thank you, Kriss, I thought we are going to die here listening to this scholar Bjorn The Bookworm." sighted Arthur dramatically.
"Hey, you lowbrow, I was just trying to lead you out of the darkness." said Bjorn pointing at Arthur.
"I need to have a shower at least." I said as I stood up and stretched my body a little after a long sitting on that bench.
"And shave and all that stuff, who knows, maybe you will be lucky and find our future Luna there?" said Arthur with a wink.
"In a strip bar?" I asked Arthur unbelievably.
"It's not a strip bar, but a burlesque cabaret, don't you forget. And throw away the prejudice, alpha, being a stripper is a job just like any other." said Bjorn laying his arm around my shoulders.
Could she be there, finally? Oh no, not in this place!
