Santiago’s Makeover
“Take us to The Forum.” Diesel commanded the Uber driver, and as soon as he shut the back door the driver inched the car forward into the traffic on the strip.
“What is this Forum place?” I asked. “Is it as tacky as the rest of this city?”
Diesel laughed. “It’s a shopping mall attached to Caesar’s Palace, and trust me, it’s an entirely different world than what you’ve seen so far.” His shoulder pressed against mine. We were in the back of a red Honda, and there was plenty of room, but he was determined we must appear like an actual couple at all times.
“Oh look,” Diesel pointed out the window next to him. “Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse. The food is amazing. Maybe we can go there after we finish shopping.”
