CHAPTER FIVE

SARAH'S POV:

I was working on my task and it's really hard to keep awake by this time of night. I got free nearly by 3 am. The next morning I woke up at 6 am and after getting ready I took my file and a bread with jam and head out of the house. I reached office in fifteen minutes. As soon as I entered I submit my file on the reception and the receptionist told me that she will give this file to the secretary because boss is on the roof right. What does he do there? Well none of my business.

I waited for an hour and finally he came back from the roof and went straight to his room. I was called in inside after ten minutes. I went toward the boss office and knock at the door. No answer came so I open the door and saw some papers were on floor. I went inside and start picking those papers. I start arranging them on the table when I felt someone's presence behind me. It was the boss. He was so close to me because I could feel his breath on my neck.

I turn to him and saw him staring at me with his bright red eyes. He moved his head more closer to me and this time I could feel his breath on my lips but suddenly it stopped and I opened my eyes and shocked to see he was nowhere.

"I saw your design."

I turned at his voice. How did he went there without making any noise? He was sitting on his seat and looking into the files. "You can have a seat miss." I sat in front of him still confused. "I am very impressed by your work. I aelcome you in my company."

His words didn't change my demor. "He raised an eyebrow, "You are not happy?" No I am not because I am thinking how did you get there so fast? "Stop thinking stupid things Sarah and go celebrate." I came out of the train of my thoughts and looked over at the file he was holding. I took the file from his and stood up to leave. There's something wrong with this place. I know a wolf who can understand my language and I am working for a man who seems suspicious to me.

I decided to keep my suspicions to myself for now and just focus on my work. But something about the boss still didn't sit right with me. His red eyes and mysterious behavior left me uneasy. As I walked out of his office, I couldn't help but feel like something was off. But I pushed those thoughts aside and went to celebrate with my colleagues.

It wasn't until later that day, when I was leaving the office, that I saw something that confirmed my suspicions. As I walked to parking area to get my cycle that I bought with the joining bonus, I saw the boss walking out of the building. But he wasn't alone. He had a group of large wolves following him. They were so close to him that they could have been his pets. But these weren't normal wolves. They were different. They had the same red eyes as the boss, and their movements were more graceful and calculated than any animal I had ever seen.

I knew then that something was definitely wrong with this place. And I knew that I needed to find out more about the boss and his connection to these strange wolves.

I was hiding behind a car so they cannot see me. Once they left I sat at my cycle and head for my home. I was so confused and very eager to know what was going on? I reached home and start making dinner for me. I sat to eat my dinner when my phone buzz, It was a message from Savanah the secretary of my boss.

"Hey, tomorrow is a party where we have to go with boss. He told me to tell you to be ready by 5 pm and we will pick you on our way to party."

I start typing back,

"Why do I have to be there?"

She start typing back and her answer came,

"You are his assistant, dud! "

I smile at her emoji and type back, "Ok, I will be ready by 5 o clock."

I put my phone aside and start eating my dinner. I hope I will get the answers that I need about my boss. After I finished my dinner I went in my room and lay on my bed. I start using my phone. I am addicted of reading novels. I open the app that I recently downloaded from the app store. This app has really intresting books with many genre, and I start reading a romantic novel. I soon drifted into sleep while reading and thinking I would get a loving man like the one in the novel. Tomorrow is sunday and I could finally have a good sleep until 12 pm. A smile spread at my lips thinking about my day off from office but as soon as I thought about the office my Boss Darick's red eyes came in view. My smile fades a little and a frown spread over my face. He is handsome. He is kind but he is different. He is different from the others. I was feeling really restless but suddenly heard the same howling from outside. A smile spread on my lips again. It's that wolf again. His howling is melody to my ears. I fell asleep listening to his sweet howling. The next morning I woke up at one o clock in the noon. I am feeling really energetic today because all the tiredness of the whole week is gone. I am glad that today is saturday and tomorrow I can sleep till one o clock again. I start making breakfast for me and decided to get my dress ready after having breakfast because we have a party to attend.
