Althea woke up in a luxurious ward. One won't be able to tell it was a hospital room easily, except of course the stethoscope and drip in her arms. She looked outside the window and watched as Acheron spoke to the doctor. He was worried. A Blondie clung to his arm. It was evident that he was uncomfortable. He turned towards her direction like he had psychic powers and knew she was awake. Immediately, he dismissed the doctor and walked in quietly. “Are you good?” he asked. She just nodded
„Why is he being-nice?“ she asked herself as she came down from the bed. He rushed to help her, abandoning the girl that was beside him. “Let's go,” he said without batting an eye in the other girl's direction.
He didn't seem to be driving her home. “Umm where are you taking me to?” she asked in confusion and anger. There was hurt in his eyes, but she didn't care. “ I am taking you to my place, the doctor said you also suffered mal-nutrition. While you stay at my place, I'll send someone to stock up your place. All you need to do is rest at my place for a week,” he responded to her, as though she had agreed to do that before. “Hell no!” She began screaming. “I can't stand being with you for a f*****g minute, you want me to stay for a week. Just like that? I'm not your f*****g slave Acheron. Take me home!” She screamed.
He swerved the car, so quickly the driver behind him cursed them bitterly. Once he had packed the car, he looked up to her with teary eyes. “Please! Althea. Please don't do this to me. It wasn't easy understanding the fact that I'm responsible for what happened today. I am the reason you nearly died today. Yes! I bullied you at work. I hated you, okay?” He screamed. She seemed perplexed on hearing that. What did she have that would make a multi millionaire hate someone like her. “ What did I do?” She screamed at him in response, her hands playing at the door handle to let her out. It did.
He jumped out of the car like a wide cat and chased after her. When he had finally caught up to her, he drew her in for a hug before getting on his knees to apologize. “Please! I hated you. I hated how confused you made me feel. I hated how disoriented you made me feel. You are my secretary, but you weren't doing your job,I told myself that several times. I loved how I thought about you all the time. I love how you made me want to be with you. Like it's the only thing that would make me happy. I loved and hated the power you had over my troubled heart. I think I am in love with you Althea. I thought if I pushed you away, you would leave.” He said.
She processed the information for nothing less than a minute, and began walking away. Her eyes suddenly started tearing up. She stopped and turned around to face him, but his head was still on the ground begging.
“It's not fair. Get up and let's argue like we used to. Well I'm walking away now. Always wanted to.You can't put me in the spotlight here and play victim after everything you have done!” She screamed. She kicked the dust towards his direction, and turned around to walk away. Her knees felt weak suddenly and gave in. His arms were around her like just in time to stop her from hitting her head on the ground. “You're weak, please let's stop fighting,” he said. There was no response from her, so they continued the journey to his place in silence. One covered in dust and tears, the other was weak and unable to walk properly.
The mansion stood on a private island owned by Acheron Petrakos. It stood glorious on the hilly side of the island. It was fixed there intentionally, at the eastern side of the island. The place where the sun rises. So he named it, Olympus.
The first security gate opened on their arrival, Acheron took some time to introduce Althea to the guards, before driving off. The lawn was neatly cut and looked as though its height had been measured by a ruler. They finally arrived at the final security gate, and introductions were done.
A beautiful garden sat not too far away from the second gate. It had structures of Greek gods and musical instruments that were dressed in different flowers and vines.
The gardener waved at them from the garden, when they had passed. His big watering can hang loose on his hand. He seems friendly, Althea thought to herself.
The car packed and a group of servants rushed to help open the door for Acheron, before proceeding to help her. He raised his hands to stop them and rushed to help her instead. She didn't call him off. She was too tired to do that.
He swept her off her feet, to the surprise of the workers, and made his way into his marbled castle.
“You are going to be well taken care of by Althea,” he said. “Just seven days, Acheron, and I will leave your life and hope not to cross paths again,” she whispered.
