"Sunshine, where are you?" Asher called out to Gina, his voice filled with desperation. He had given her the nickname Sunshine because she illuminated the darkness of his life. "I’m right here! Catch me!" Gina giggled, playfully hiding behind the curtain. "You can’t hide from me; I can smell your sweet, fruity scent," Asher replied with a grin as he wrapped his arms around her from behind, kissing the mark on her neck. "Hmmm... Asher, that’s not fair! You always find me so quickly," Gina pouted. Asher chuckled at her adorable antics, kissing her forehead. "Because I can’t live without you. I want you always in front of my eyes. My lovely mate, don’t hide; I don’t want to lose you," he said possessively. "Aww... the big bad Alpha is turning into a soft and romantic husband. I like it!" Gina teased. "Yeah, I’m soft and romantic! Only sweet for my lovely, playful, and, let’s not forget, my silly wife," Asher laughed. "I’m not silly; I’m a genius!" Gina frowned. "Forget that! I brought you a gift," Asher said with a mischievous smile. "What is it?" Gina asked, her excitement building. "Open it!" Asher handed her the gift box. Gina eagerly snatched it and tore it open. When she saw what was inside, her cheeks flushed. "I want you to wear this tonight for me. I’m curious to see how my fierce cat looks in this kitty lingerie," Asher whispered huskily in her ear. "Asher! Stop teasing!" Gina blushed and pushed him away, but Asher pulled her back into his strong embrace. "Don’t be shy. We’re married now; it’s normal," Asher grinned. "I’m not wearing that!" Gina protested. "Why don’t you like it?" Asher asked, frowning. "Remember the last time I wore lingerie to seduce you? You kept me in bed for a week! Now that I’m Luna, I can’t just lounge around. I have responsibilities to fulfill," Gina replied, pouting. "Ooh... my Sunshine has grown into a mature woman! That’s good," Asher said, amusement dancing in his eyes. "You worked so hard to stop the war. I can’t just sit around while you struggle; it’s my duty to help you," Gina declared with pride. "Your presence is enough for me. And if you think I’m working too hard, shouldn’t you give me a good time in bed? It’ll help me relax," Asher said, kissing her neck. "Honestly, I’ve missed my big bad Alpha," Gina said, her hand brushing against him. "f**k! Don’t blame me for the consequences," Asher groaned, pulling her closer. "Right now?" Gina asked, her eyes wide. "Yes! Right now. I’ve missed you, my mate," Asher said, leading her toward the king-sized bed. "Aaaaahhhh... hubby, be gentle! I’m all yours," Gina giggled, feeling his rough hands trying to untie the straps of her dress. "No, I can’t..." Asher groaned. Gina smiled and hugged him tightly. "Hubby, I love you. I promise I’ll never leave you." "I love you too..." Asher began to say, but then he found his arms empty. He jolted back to reality; it had all been a dream, a memory he wished he could forget yet clung to in order to keep his wolf sane. "Did you miss our mate too?" Alexius asked from within his mind. "No, it was just a dream," Asher snapped. "Don’t lie! I’m your wolf; I know you better than anyone. You missed her! Whenever you’re exhausted, you think of those sweet memories with her. Accept it; you can’t forget her," Alexius insisted. "Yes! I can’t forget her, nor her betrayal, and I will punish her for making me suffer," Asher said, clenching his fists in anger. "Asher, don’t act in anger and do something that will hurt us. If I lose my mate because of your rage, I will leave. That’s a promise," Alexius warned. "I won’t let her go anywhere. That’s my promise," Asher replied with determination. --- "Gina! Gina!" Chris knocked on the door. When she didn’t respond after a few moments, he unlocked it and barged in. The sudden noise startled Gina awake, and she sat up, sweating and frightened. "I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you. I got worried when I heard you screaming," Chris said, looking concerned. "Forgive me." "It’s okay; I just had a nightmare," Gina replied, her tone uneasy. "Is something bothering you? Do you need my help?" Chris asked, genuine concern in his eyes. "No, I’m fine. Just a nightmare. When did you get back?" Gina tried to change the subject. "A few minutes ago," Chris said, not pressing her to share her worries. "You must be tired. Let me make you breakfast," Gina said as she climbed out of bed and headed to the kitchen. "Thanks! I really needed that," Chris grinned, flashing a bright smile. Gina smiled back, focusing on her cooking. --- "Chris, I’m going!" Gina called out. "But where?" Chris asked, puzzled. "I got a job!" Gina announced. "And what is it?" Chris inquired, intrigued. "I’m a flute artist. The music academy needed a music teacher, and I graduated in music," Gina explained. "Are you serious? I had no idea! When will I get to attend your music concert?" Chris asked eagerly. "Gina, I’m running late," she said, playfully slapping his forearm. "You indirectly rejected me!" Chris feigned a sad face. "Okay, when I’m home, I’ll play the flute for you. Happy?" Gina sighed. "Let me drive you; it’s your first day," Chris insisted. "No, I don’t need it. The academy is nearby," Gina replied calmly. "Please don’t deny my offer," Chris urged stubbornly. "Fine!" Gina rolled her eyes. --- "Have a good day! If you run into any trouble, feel free to ask for help," Chris said as she left. "I will! Thanks for being such a good friend," Gina smiled as she stepped out. "We can be more than friends," Chris said softly. "Did you say something?" Gina asked, frowning. "Nothing! Take care!" Chris lied. Gina entered her academy, heading straight to the reception desk to check-in. The receptionist handed her the schedule for her classes, and she made her way to her first class. Though she felt nervous, she was also confident in her abilities As Gina walked into the classroom, all the students turned to stare at her. "Are you a new student?" one girl asked. "No, I'm your teacher, and from today, I'll be teaching you music," Gina replied with a smile. "Really? You're so beautiful!" the girl exclaimed. Gina chuckled and playfully pinched the girl's cheeks. "And you’re absolutely adorable!" Once settled, Gina introduced herself more formally. "I’m Gina, and I’m excited to teach you music. To me, music is a form of worship that brings me peace and love. I hope you'll respect my passion and give me your attention." The class welcomed her warmly, and Gina felt at ease among them. "Miss, can you please play the flute?" a student requested. "Sure! I hope you all enjoy it," Gina replied. She closed her eyes to connect with nature and center herself before playing. As she began to play, the room fell silent, captivated by the sweet, melodious sound that filled the air. It was both peaceful and full of energy, evoking joy and an invigorating spirit in everyone present. Meanwhile, Asher was in a business meeting with his investors in a nearby building. He had established his business in the human world, often leaving his subordinates to manage things while he made occasional inspections. Suddenly, he heard a familiar and enchanting melody that stirred something deep within him. As a wolf, he had heightened senses, allowing him to hear sounds that ordinary humans could not. Asher's wolf stirred with excitement, almost breaking free. He fought to suppress it as he stepped out of the building, driven by an urgent need to find the source of the music. “Damn! She’s here! My mate!” Asher exclaimed, unable to contain his enthusiasm.
