We are in this together

As the bad weather cleared I was on deck washing the stern and then the Captain said "You have to wash the whole deck needs a second wash ." Oh bummer he's making life so difficult and this makes me mad. Then on top of everything he still wants all hands on deck to teach us sword fighting. He says sword fighting is like dancing that is why all of us have to grab a partner and dance. Oh, yak I definitely don't want to dance with these ugly dudes. I am not a bad dancer as I quickly show them moves that my Granny showed me. I am enjoying the way the other guys watch my moves and laugh my head off when they all slipping and sliding over the deck as I had just washed and polished it with whale fat.

We were nervous going through pirate waters as this part of the world was rife with pirates. As much as our Captain has encouraged us to think for ourselves the truth is emerging out if the whole affair and that is if we are to protect our cargo of Ivory and precious metals we would emerge the weaker ones as the pirates are a very ruthless bunch of assholes the whole lot of them. They have proven themselves as the worst monsters that are on the highseas.

This is a old ship as it's Portuguese man of war ship the original probably that was the prototype the others were made of.

l have no faith in the abilities of our crew to keep things going like clockwork and get ourselves out of these waters in one piece, shall we say my seamanship has now proved to be getting better by the moment and I am so happy that the captain can see that.

A great gust of salty sea air comes blowing up in my face as I can see the swirling waters below us the adventure is just beginning to unfold. Yes I am so happy to be doing almost twice, maybe three seaman's work in one day as I am also noticing that I have more muscle mass and strength than any of the other crew even our Captain said so.

Always consehencious of our surroundings I have become the one to climb up the main mast as even that I am doing faster than any of the other seaman on board the ship. The real reason I have been getting better at everything I am doing is definitely not a problem for the other guys as they benefit from the fact that I am single-handedly doing most of the work load now and I don't seem to get tired at all. Eventually the captain calls me to his cabin so that we can have a talk and I am quite nervous about what he is going to say to me. I should not have worried about what he has to say as he had a big smile on his face and as he comes over to my side of the table to congratulate me a large canon landed in the room as fortunately the Canon ball had lost its velocity it was like a large ball that just popped in just infront of me. I got such a fright and this was definitely the sign that very sophisticated pirates were near to us as a controlled shot like that is not that easy to duplicate as it's hard for accuracy especially when using cannon balls.
