Coming to terms

Sage P.O.V

When we exited the mall I couldn't help but feel sad, sad that this is what my life has become. I'm grateful that one happy thing has happened I thought as I subconsciously rubbed my belly.

'Hey don't let that get you down, we're going to going to go tell everyone the big news. I already texted everyone to meet us in about 30 minutes.' she told me smiling trying to cheer me up.

'I forgot I had to tell everyone. Just please don't tell them who the father is.' I told her nervously and she agreed.

When we got to the house there was already omega's waiting outside to take our bags in. I thanked them as the grabbed the bags and went to head inside.

'Are you ready?' Jasmine asked squealing as she squeezed my arms.

'Let's just get this over with.' I said nervously as we made our way upstairs.

We made our way up to the third floor which held the family room, game room, movie room, ect for the high ranking families. The walk to the family room was the most nerve wracking thing I have ever experienced in my life. I know that my family would love me regardless of the situation. When we got to the room my family, jasmines family, and Jake and the gamma family was there waiting. Jasmine was the first to start talking.

'So guys we called you here is we have some big news to tell you.' jasmine said.

'Last month at the annual ball I met my mate. We ended up sleeping together on the following day he ended up rejecting me. Which is why we're here.' I said solemnly.

'Guys she's pregnant with triplets!' jasmine shouted excitedly while everyone sat in there seats processing what they just heard.

'You met your mate?' Sebastien said sadly.

'I did but her rejected me.' I answered knowing he was sad because he had yet to turn 18 and he wanted me to be his mate.

'Why didn't you tell us sooner?' Jace asked.

'I didn't want to talk about my rejection.' I said again as a tear slipped my eye.

Things at first were hard because the questions were about my mate. All I told them that the kids were of alpha blood but I didn't tell them who the father was. They stopped asking when they realized that I closed up like a clam. Next everyone said their congratulations and how excited they were to have kids in the house. My mom voiced the same opinion as Doctor Brown. I should tell Gage about the babies but right now I'm just not ready.

The week went by slowly, news spread around the pack that one of the families was expecting but for this reason we didn't tell them which family. We didn't want any word getting out to any of the surrounding packs. My mom always wanted to talk baby showers and if I managed to tell my 'baby daddy' that he was going to be a father.

Today was the day that I had my appointment with Dr brown to find out my due date. I got dressed in a summer dress and some flats because I know we'll have to do another exam. I asked that jasmine go with me again as well as my mom because I need the two most important women there with me. I also agreed to go dress shopping with jasmine for her party which is in two days, well its not only jasmines party sebastian is her twin brother. Jasmine is taking her car while I'm riding with my mom. As we got in to the car I felt like I was ready to tell her

'Mom I'm ready to tell you who the father is if you can keep it a secret.' I whispered and all she did was squeeze my hand.

'Honey even though I want to hurt the man who hurt my baby I'll keep it a secret.' she said softly. In that motherly voice that you don't know you need but when you hear it it soothes your wounds.

'It's Alpha Liam's son, Gage.' I said sadly.

'Honey I figured when you left he left shortly after. Don't worry I won't say anything and I'll always be here for you.' she squeezed my hand.

The rest of the car ride was in a comfortable silence and I was thankful for that. When we arrived at the clinic they quickly rushed us to the back where jasmine was already waiting for us, this was to help anymore rumors from starting.

'Ladies please follow me to one of the rooms.' One of the nurses said as she led us to a room on the far end of the clinic.

'Doctor Brown will be in in a minute. Please undress and get on the table dear.' she said as she walked out.

5 minutes later we were greeted by the knocks of Dr. Brown.

'Good morning, I see you told your family.' she said with a smile. 'Let's check on these three little beans shall we?' she added happily.

'This might be cold Sage so just be prepared.' She put the wand inside me and began her ultrasound. She took more pictures for us to keep.

'Well Sage from the looks of this ultrasound you're carrying alpha pups. As you know alphas are born earlier than regular pups. You're due in 3 and a half months. I'll schedule you another appointment for next week as it seems we'll be able to tell the genders of these sweet little pups.' she said with a warm smile.

My mom cried and jasmine was sporting the biggest smile as I thanked Doctor Brown.

'Oh honey we need to go baby shopping!' she sobbed some more. 'Here take dad's card and buy something for the babies we need to get started on shopping!'

I loved having my mom at the ultrasound but my heart still hurt. I kept thinking about how things would be different if Gage was there. A part of me wished that we would be a happy family but I knew that wasn't possible.

'Now the fun part, SHOPPING!' Jasmine said happily.

Once again the 30 minute car ride was jasmine squealing about the babies. Not going to lie she did help cheer me up. I didn't need a mate I have something better than a mate. I have three little miracles to care for and they're already changing me for the better. I hate coming to the mall but I can't spend all day just lounging around like I want. So I guess let's get this trip over with.
