Snake

"Light Creation Weapon." Sora-san said. Just from the word itself, it sounds exciting and fun to learn.

"Tell me how it works," I said excitedly.

"First, you have to cast a holy spell, just a simple light ball," she said and casted one. Light glowed on her hand, it forms a small ball after that.

"Next, you will compress it and imagine the type of weapon you wanted," Sora-san explain. She closed her eyes then I can see the ball getting smaller and formed into a small dagger.

She showed it to me and threw it on a rock. It stabs on it and explodes. "Once you release the power, it will shatter into pieces that's why it explodes," she explained.

"Now, try it." I gulped when she said that. I'm nervous I might not be able to do it.

"Argh!" I exclaimed. My hands are hurt, blood is dropping from it because of my wounds. I can see those cuts and bruises on my hand, I also have some on my arms and face. I can't do it, the spell explodes and hits me.

I've been doing the next spell but I can't cast it properly. The moment is compress the light spell, it explodes and some of it residual cuts my skin.

Just how? I've been trying this for hours but thus was just so hard!

"Don't overdo yourself, mages don't learn it in a day, some take weeks, months, or even a year," Sora-san assuredly said.

She casted a healing spell on my hand to heal the wounds, though the pain still remains. "Let's call it a day, rest for now and we'll continue it tomorrow," she said. I nodded as a response, I'm tired and I won't deny it. My knees hurts and my hands felt numb.

I'm also running out of mana because of too much energy I used to do that spell. I just wish I'll be able to learn this by tomorrow.

I went on my large room and lie down in my bed. I stood up when I remember the egg from earlier. I remove that cloth and saw the glowing c***k, it's getting bigger. This will hatch in no time, I'm so excited!

I didn't notice that I fell asleep while looking at the egg.

I woke up early again in the morning. Thanks goodness that I am not having those nightmares again. It keeps on bugging and bothering me whenever I think about it.

Sora-san said that nightmares came from demons, so there's a chance that a demon is lurking in this kingdom. And that demon is no joke, that must be a high-level demon they were talking about.

I stretched my body to get ready for the new day. I looked at my hand, the wounds are gone but I can still feel the paun. Why is it so hard to do?

Five days later...

I woke up early again, this is another day to train and learn new things. Before I went out, I looked at the egg that i have been observing for days. The cracks was almost half of the egg. I decided to put it on my bag before going out.

So far, I am having a good time here in the palace. The people were good and they treat me well also. I rarelt see the princess and the king, maybe they were on the other wing of the palace. Those are the location of the rooms for the nobles and the royalties.

It's so cute because all of the people here have their anime ears. Kawaii!

I wen out and called Sora-san. We flew to the grass field where we are practicing.

"Just a bit, you can do it Yushiro-kun," Sora-san cheered me up. We are still on the grass field, it is almost dark and demons might show up anytime. On the past few days, I managed to create a sword using the light creation spell. I have a hard time doing it but I'm happy that I'm still be able to succeed.

For today, we ate practicing on how long can I hold on the power. I must sustain my stamina and mana, channel it to my hand and release the enough amount of magic to keep the light spell intact.

It's been 20 minutes but it's still not exploding unlike before when I practiced. I am thinking of exploring other weapons, once I mastered this spell.

"Good job! You did well!" Sora-san praised me. It's already dark when we decided to go back to the capital. There's no shield or protection here in the grass field that's why the demons can freely roam around. Though, there's nothing to worry about the kingdom because they have high defence.

We were about to cast the wind spell and fly when we felt something different. Fear engulfed my whole system, I can feel it. This is no ordinary demon. I can sense the overflowing danger because of its aura.

We looked around to find the demon. We were shocked when the ground shake, creating cracks in front of us.

I was dumbfounded when a huge black snake went out of there and jumped. As it lands on the grass, she transformed into a girl with jet black hair and red eyes. Her skin is pale and I can see some of her scales were still evident on her body. What's more noticeable is the tattoo on right arm. It is written in Roman numerals, and it says number 6.

"Good evening, filthy humans." She greeted sarcastically. Her smile is so wide and there's some time that her tongue is showing. Her voice were deep yet beautiful

I looked at Sora-san beside me. She was angry and I can feel it. Her hands were trembling not because of fear, she's mad. This is the first time I see her like this.

"I know who you are, the 6th shadow of Alheim and the black snake of the west; Selestina."
