I sat in my office thinking about what EverLeigh had requested a few nights ago. She wanted to be married, which is not what wolves do. We are mated, not married. Critical is a piece of paper that binds humans by law. We wolves are bound by the completion of the mating process. It’s more effective than marriage. Why on earth would she want to do something as silly as a wedding and going to the courthouse to turn in a marriage certificate? I guess I could’ve asked her but I kind of told her I’d think about it before I left the room.
