I’ve never given much thought to having a mate. I was quite alright not having one. I’m the king of a corner, I don’t need a Queen to rule me. I’m kind of like EverLeigh in that way, only different because I’m a king. I have until I’m 29 to find a mate before they kick me off the throne. A king needs a luna because she makes him more powerful and less tempered. I have 8 years to find my mate, while EverLeigh wasn’t allowed to take a crown until she had a man to take it with her.
I guess what I’m getting at is I never thought my mate, my queen, would turn out to be the most beautiful human I’ve ever laid eyes on. Maddie, she’s 5’4 with the most beautiful green eyes and her smile melts me and here I sit staring at her about to explain the whole wolf and mating thing. Here I sit
