Chapter 2: So it begins

**Rosemary**

"Good Morning Mrs, Valentino" he says giving me a cheeky smile. I can't believe it. I really can't. "Mr Richards, I presume, you would be my new potential business partner?" I say through gritted teeth. His smile just gets bigger and bigger, "Yes Mrs. Valentino, I might just be. Do you know why I will be your final decision?" What game is this man playing here? Who the hell said I will make him the partner? "And why is that Mr Richards" I say with my own smile pulling at my lips, I feel like this handsome, sexy, gorgeous, strong man might think his charms will work on me. But, it won't. The little voice in my head just keeps chanting 'Keep telling yourself that'

"Because i have the highest degree in business, and a bachelors degree in hotel management, as well as 6 years experience in hotel business partnership" Smug are we now. "Alright, why did you leave your previous partners?" He looks me dead in the eye as he says the following words "Because they sold the hotel without me knowing about it and took all the shares for themselves" Well, that's not a bad excuse, and not what I thought he would say. "I see. Alright, I'll tell you what. let's do a trial run, I'll give you 2 months to impress me, and show me that you will be a good partner for the Winston Hotel, but you will only get a Management salary for the two months" He takes a few minutes to mull it over before answering. "Sounds like a good idea, when do I start?"

"You can start right now" I stand up before he can say anything else "Follow me to your office"

I walk down the hall way, and stop on the second door to the right. He has a corner office, it's quite spacious with floor to ceiling tinted windows, an L shaped desk with the finest

office chair that money could buy. a light grey carpet and a coffee table on it, a small couch sitting a few inches from it. "Bery nice office space I got here, thank you" He give me a genuine smile and walks off to sit in his office chair. "I'll let your assistant know your in the office, she'll bring you're work for the day. I'll be in my office till 11 am, then I'm in a few meetings till 12h30 pm. After that I'll be picking up my daughter at school. I'll be back at 2pm. if you need me, tell my assistant Jolene to contact me"

"Wow, full schedule, nice corner office and an assistant. I could get used to working here" He says giving me a cheeky grin. I don't say anything and just walk away to find Mary, his assistant to inform her of what's happening.

After a few hours of working and meetings, I go to get Bella from school. When she sees me standing outside waiting for her, she runs up to me and jumps into my arms. Giving me a big, breath stealing hug. "Hi baby, how was school?" I ask hugging her back. "It wat great mama! we played, learned and took a nice nap"

I wish i could take a nice nap during work. On our way back to the office, we stop at a small bakery for a small lunch and snacks. After we get what is needed and arrive at the office, Bella runs straight to my office to eat her food. "She's a cute one" a deep voice says behind me, startling me. "Yeah she is" I say curtly before walking away. I hear foot steps following behind me and I stop abruptly infront of my office door. Spinning around and looking him straight in the eyes "Mr Richards, is there something I can help you with?" I ask with slight annoyance in ny voice "Mrs Valentino, there is no need for such formalities. Please, call me Zack" Does this man think he is slick? "Alright, firstly, it's nit Mrs anymore. its Ms now. Secondly you can still call me Ms Valentino, and I'll stick with Mr Richards. We are in the office, working" I say matter of factly. I turn around and walk into the office, slamming my door shut in his face.

"Take that Mr I think I'm so smooth" I say in a mocking tone. We'll see how long he'll last.
