The pinned location glowed on my phone screen as I sat in the car parked right in front of it. My fingers drummed restlessly on the steering wheel. I must have stared at that blinking red dot a hundred times already, and still, I couldn’t convince myself that coming here was the right choice.
Shelly had called me a million times since I ran out of the office earlier. I hadn’t answered her once. She must think I’ve lost my mind.
