Clarlyn
Exiting out of the forest, I saw the small hill that had the same very large mansion. James, Sky,and Jeremiah were waiting for us half way up the hill. Behind them was the entire pack standing there waiting to greet us. Once Sky spotted Paden she started to sprint towards him. Her light pink dress flowing behind her. Her blond hair glowing in the sun. Right before she made it to Paden; he had shifted back to his human form. Lifting her into his arms spun her around. He placed her perfectly back on the ground, his eyes trailing down her body making sure not a scratch was there. “I’m okay Paden,” she assured him placing her small hand on his cheek. He pulled her back into his arms kissing her all over her face.
“I’m sorry baby, I’m so dirty, I just need you in my arms.” He pouted to her.
“It’s fine Paden, I missed you so much!” She kissed him back wrapping her fingers in his hair. I rolled my eyes looking at James who was narrowing his eyes at me. Jeremiah was holding to black silk robes. He had a light expression on his face. I shifted back to human as Jeremiah handed me one to cover my body.
“Jeremiah,” I nodded to greet him.
“That’s all I get from you? After all this time?” He asked dramatically before he gave me a cocky smile. I smiled back at his as I stepped in his arms avoiding and skin of his. “It’s been a very long time,” he whispered sadly into my ear. Behind me I could hear Paden and Sky having a little tiff with each other. Sky was trying to calm him down telling him to let it go. Of course Paden is not one to calm down fast. His anger was radiating off of him in waves. I stepped out from Jeremiah looking at Paden
“Are you okay?” I asked him. Looking at Jeremiah from the corner of my eyes I noticed he had a childish grin spread across his face. Crap.
“Oh s**t,” James muttered. Looking around I have felt like I had missed something. I reached out to touch Jeremiah’s hand once our skin touched. I was pulled into his memory’s I had to use a lot of energy to find what I was looking for. Then the memory of Jeremiah slightly flirting with Sky. I pulled myself back out of his brain and back into my own body.
“f**k,” I muttered. I watched as Paden’s body was vibrating with anger trying to calm himself with deep breaths. I could see his control was snapping by threads, and he was right on his last one. Then the thread snapped causing into stalk up to Jeremiah as if he were a prey he wanted to devour. He pulled back his fist slamming it down as hard as he could. Connecting to Jeremiah’s jaw, he toppled over by the force. Paden straddle him punching him over and over again. Jeremiah was able to flip him over pinning him to the ground. After a few minutes of watching them being reckless. I nodded at James as I went to yank Paden off of him. James grabbed Jeremiah the both were still trying to go after each other. “Enough!” I roared, “both of you!” I commanded eyeing both of them. They both stopped immediately still snarling at one another. Men and their high testosterone I thought rolling my eyes at them. Can’t live with them; can’t live without them. “Now, put this on,” I snatched the robe that was tossed to the ground. I threw it at Paden, storming past them heading up the hill. Blaze, Loki’s father, and Alpha of this land was standing there watching us the whole time. Making it to the top, Blaze pulled me in for a hug without hesitation. He always made sure not to touch my skin everyone always did. You definitely couldn’t keep your secrets around me.
“Jeremiah was right, it has been a very long time,” I looked back at his face he was smiling sadly. I had always forgot how well this male’s hearing was.
“Yes it has been indeed a long while,” I looked down at my feet. Blaze was the big reason on why I never came back to this pack. I barely could look him in the eyes. I felt guilty about Loki and his granddaughter. Always thinking it was my fault for their death, and today just proved I was right all along.
“Well we planned a celebration for your arrival.” He waved his hand around towards his pack members.
“I was wondering what was going on,” I tried to smile sweetly. “Well then, I better go for a shower,” I said bending down to bow to him respectfully. Then I walked past him to go into the mansion. Walking past a few pack members they bowed down to me. Entering the mansion a maid was there to greet me.
“Hello Mrs. Veron, please follow me, we have prepared your room.” She curtsy to me with a sweet smile.
“Hello, please call me Clarlyn or Mrs. Petrova. Don’t use that last name.. I also don’t want my old room.” I stated, my teeth clenched in annoyance.
“Okay, Mrs. Petrova” I followed her up a few flights of stairs. My blood started to heat up as she walked me to Loki’s bedroom door. Really? I’m I speaking f*****g French? I thought to myself. I know I can speak French, but I’m pretty damn sure I was speaking English!
“James! Come here now before I kill this maid!” I commanded through the link. I heard the front door open, and the sound of heavy feet running up the stairs. When he made it to us he smiled at the maid.
“Hello, thank you for your help I’ll take it from here. Please go help set things up for tonight,” he ushered her away as fast as he could. I narrowed my eyes at her I could tell by her scared face that my eyes flashed at her. “Calm down,” his voice whispered in my head. When she was out of ear reach a let out a small growl.
“That girl did not listen to a word I said! I told her I did not want this room!” I was seething with rage.
“ I get it Clara, just come stay in my room. It’s only for a night until out house is ready.” I sucked in my breath and let it go with a puff. “Don’t worry we won’t share the bed,” he assured me.
“Fine,” I gritted my teeth. James led the way as I followed close behind him. We went down the hall past three bedrooms his was on the left. He opened the door I walked straight in the bathroom without turning on the light or a candle. I turned on the shower as it was heating up I slipped off the robe tumbling down my body like water. I slipped my body underneath the hot water. My body was feeling sore from all the fighting. luckily all my injuries have all healed up. I scrubbed the dry blood and dirt off of my body. “James could you please find me some clothing and shoes?” I asked through the link. Once I heard the door closed I allowed my body to slid down the tile wall. The water was still able to reach me as it fell on to my head and down my face. Tears started to form beneath my eyes. I finely allowed them to let go. I’m heart was hearting feeling it was crushing me feeling heavy in my chest. I cried for my daughter, and Loki. I wanted to hold her tinny body in my arms once more. “I’m sorry! It was all my fault baby.” I cried out to her as my heart did another squeezed.
After awhile of crying I heard the door open. I quickly whipped the tears away from my face and boxed up all the sad emotions once again. I washed out my hear making sure it was all nice and clean. I turned off the water and stepped out of the large shower. I wrapped the towel around myself, and walked out of the bathroom. James was in the living room sitting on the couch. Going through the channels as he was holding a crystal whisky glass to his lips.
“One of your bags is on the bed,” he told me as he took another sip. I zipped it open and pulled out my first outfit I could see. A black cross haulter top, with black leather pants. I slipped on black lace underwear and bra. “Your leather boots are right beside the door,” James told me as I zipped up my pants. When I was done getting dressed I pulled on the boots and zipped them up past my knee. “By the way you have way too much clothing and shoes,” he stated. His eyes were still glued to the movie in front of him.
“I live option and what if I tear through them?” I ran my fingers through my hair. Allowing it to dry naturally. I walked over to the mini bar grabbing myself a crystal glass. I grabbed a handful of ice and tossed it into the cup. I poured the whisky into the glass once I was done I placed the crystal tiger head cork back on the bottle. I sat down next to James pulling my hair onto my shoulder. My hair was laying in my lap it was so long. “What are we watching?” I asked taking a huge galp.
“The newest A-team.” We watched as we both had a few drinks. After my sixth I was starting to have a buzz. It sucked sometimes having a very high tolerance. Humans were lucky in that way so much cheaper for them. Tho being the Alphas daughter I never really had to worry about money.
I looked outside the sun was almost gone. “Well I guess we better make appearance,” I looked at James as I braided my hair to the side.
“Yeah I guess we should,” James stretched like a cat as he always did. Then got up pulling me up with him. We started to make out way downstairs. Heading towards the kitchen where there was French doors that lead to outside. Everything was still the same; the lake was still here but it was a bit smaller still surrounded by trees. There was twinkling lights were all around; having above us. Some where on the trees close to us. Shifter were all drinking and dancing on the dance floor. Kids were playing by the water and on the dock. Blaze was sitting at the head table in front of everyone. Jeremiah was sitting on the end beside his father who was also sitting beside Blaze. I made my way toward them people were spiting briskly away from me as I walked past. Everyone knew of my gift no one wanted to chance accidentally touching me. I grabbed another glass of whiskey as I passed one of the waiters. I started to take sips as I made my way to the head table.
“Alpha,” I bowed to him once I got to the front of the table.
“Clara!” He smiled, “you definitely know how to make a entrance.” His voice bellowed, “come sit child.” He pointed to the chair beside him. That chair would have been for his mate. Unfortunately she was so distraught about her son’s death she had killed herself shortly after.
I when I took my seat James was next to greet him. “James, I’m so please that you came,” Blaze reached his hand over the table to James; after James bowed.
“Alpha, thanks for having me,” he smiled and gave Blaze a nod. James walked over to me and sat down.
“Has anyone seen Paden and Sky?” I asked looking around for them. I took the last sip as Jeremiah answered me.
“I saw them running off into the woods,” Jeremiah chucked to himself.
“Really? Again?” I rolled my eyes. Those two go at it like wild bunnies how come they don’t have children yet.
