The footing would be treacherous. Snow covered the ice, lessening the danger somewhat, but if he was not careful, a poorly-placed foot would send Raedrick sliding to the ground, or even out into the frigid water. As battlefields went, this was about the worst one Raedrick would have picked.
Of course, Geoff and his men would suffer the same peril. If anything, they possibly were at more of a disadvantage than Raedrick and Julian. The two moving toward Julian would have to be careful of how they attacked, to avoid striking their partner or sliding into his attack. Julian would have no such limitation.
Which was all well and good, but it was not Raedrick’s immediate problem.
