Double Trouble.

Mike absolutely nervous,walks to the edge of the bed. Frightened starts rubbing his  hands together.

Sweating his face turns red. You probably could hear his heart beating, intimidated he tried to laugh off the situation.

“Sir, I am sorry I dropped it outside, sorry I didn’t realize it. We were just fighting over something silly.” mike says horror stricken. 

Rhea looked pale absolutely spooked shitting bricks.

She is still sitting on the bed, dad I can explain. She is ready to snitch on Mike. After all he is back stabbed her.

Mr Gill, gestures Mike to sit back on the bed and turns back to Mona in a gravelly calm voice asks to call Richard.

He pulls a chair towards the door, blocking the way towards the door. This is a intimidating move just to make him feel trapped.

Richard walks in bracing for what’s to come.

He instructs him to open the left basement doors, and arrange for two chair and his arm chair.

Rhea is instructed to wait outside. Mike and Mr.Gill talk for almost five minutes and walk out of the room. Mike looking down walk along side towards the basement.

Agni walks in and Rhea runs to her to find comfort in chaos, however Agni is asked to leave by Mona.

Rhea sits waiting to get this ordeal over with. No one knows how this will end and the anticipation is worst than death itself.

Mona then drags Rhea down to the basement where Rhea, Richard,Mike and Mr.Gill all meet for the last time ever.

Very calmly, in a very peaceful manner Mr.Gill gestures Mike to get up and go to the other side of the desk. Asks him to hold her hands.

Leans forward from the chair and very softly manoeuvres her hand towards Mike. He does all of this without speaking.

This makes Rhea sleep on her stomach, her back exposed , anticipating something horrible that she is going to either witness or suffer, she starts to cry.“Shh, don’t cry. We will get through this together.” He calms her with the most calm voice.

Mike is almost grey, sweating through his clothes he looks like he is going to throw up any time. He life flashes In front of his eyes.Mr. Gill ties her feet with a long sleeve Tee.In a cracked voice, pleading Rhea says “Dad”.

To which Mr. Gill pats on her leg softly, as though he was assuring her a sense of security.

“Shhh, you are going to be fine. Isn’t she Mike” he looks at Mike adjusting the bulky belt buckle in him firm hands.

Rhea gets goose bumps just by hearing the buckle sound.

In a well modulated voice, almost toneless Mr. Gill addresses Mike. “Out of all the guys she has liked, I liked you the most Mike. I really thought she was doing well.

I rather would have trusted you than her. You still have a chance to prove yourself buddy.I am going to whip this belt oh her back.She will try to wiggle her way out,

I mean it’s human nature to protect ourselves from the pain inflicted on us but I want you to hold her hands tight. If she wiggles out, I am going to handover you to the police.

I mean I will make sure that you will be beaten to death by an druggy in the jail, a druggy who would do it for maybe a few dollars.I have connections. I Will make sure you suffer.” Looks up at Mike, raising his eyebrows to confirm.

Mike, starts crying and nods softly.

Rhea, starts pleading, rather questioning as to why she is punished in place of Mike. He is the one who did this. She merely is a victim.

Mr Gill without warning whips Rhea with the belt, to which she shivers in pain.

“Please dad”,she pleads.

He starts beating her, uncontrollably. No one interferes.

Mike absolutely horrified but doesn’t leave her hands. When a drop of blood splatters on his face he stops.

Not realizing that Rhea fainted long back and he had been beating her lifeless body.

“Richard” his voice echoes.

Richard walks in petrified, he had never seen Mr.Gill treat any of his family members like this.

“Get Mona to clean this s**t up.”

Mona who is standing at the edge of the stairs run down and tries to pick Rhea with the help of a maid and both take her up to her room.

“Was it worth it?” Asks Mr.Gill.

“So,Richi what do you think we should do?”cleaning the blood off this face he looks at both of them.“Sir, if I may. He was also involved with Rhea I have it on tape.

Sir, I don’t want any money I have made enough I just want to give you the tape and leave.Please I am sorry I didn’t know what I was thinking.” Begs Mike on his knees.

Mr Gill looks at Richard in shock. He is horrified to hear this and just sits on the chair trying to process what he heard.

“Richard, I’ll give you a chance. You have been a loyal dog in this family for years.

Now of course you crossed your limit, but I want to give you a chance.

You can still prove your loyalty. Break his fingers.” He throws in a hammer at Richard.

Fearing for his life, Mike starts running to the door.Richard bends to take the hammer and aims it at Mike to hit his head.Mike turns to see if Richard is following him and the hammer hits the temple of his forehead.

Mike falls down immediately,he loses his consciousness.

Richard then proceeds to drag Mike back to the chair where Rhea was sitting and tied him to the chair.

Mr Gill instructs Richard to douse Mike with kerosene and also on the entrance door of the basement so that if he tries to run they can threaten him.

Richard gets to work, he one by one hammers Mikes fingers. Bludgeoned beyond recognition.Mike regains consciousnesses, and Richard is still breaking his fingers on the left hand.Smelling the kerosene on him he starts to panic and screams in the top of his voice for help.

He tries his level best to get out of the chair but in vain.Mr Gill pats on Mike’s face and asks Richard to leave him at the top of the hill at the end of the town and instructs Mike to leave town.

Mike starts slipping in and out of consciousnesses.

Suffering through the pain he agrees.Richard comes back to Mr.Gill and they both set out to Mikes house to burn it down if he has any evidence left.They both dose the house with kerosene and set out to light fire. While Richard is busy at work Mr Gill hits Richard with a baseball bat on his head from the back.

Richard faints and falls on the bed.

Mr.Gill walks to the door and sets the house on fire.
