Misjudged.

The next day Rhea wakes up abruptly as though from a bad dream, kicking the sheets with her leg and grunting.
Reba quickly runs up to her, “Madam, are you alright.”
She notices bruises on Rhea’s body, neck down she almost as hickeys all over. She is completely naked, holding her head down she murmurs “water.”
Reba almost jumps up on her feet and gets water from the table nearby.
Rhea drinks the water and asks for more. “More, give me the jug” she whispers.
After drinking the water she tries to get out of the bed, not knowing how sore she is.
“Help me Reb”in a faint voice she collapses.
Reba, tried her level best to help Rhea up. The two proceed to the bathroom, Reba gives her bath and walks her back to the room.
Rhea looks at herself in the mirror, she has purple marks all over her body and her thighs look bruised.
“He must really like you! Couldn’t keep his hands off you Madam.” Says Reba in excitement.
“Get me a coffee will you.”
“Of course Madam.” Reba runs out to get the coffee.
Rhea lays on the bed, pulls up the sheets and looks at the window, the light is bright, must be afternoon. How long did I sleep?
Where is Dev? What was that last night? So many questions... She was a little confused. Did he actually like her that much that he couldn’t get enough of her.
Even before she could get hold of her thoughts, Rhea passes out again.
Norma asks for Rhea, and Reba informs her that she is resting as she is not feeling very well.
The people who came for the wedding start leaving and a farewell is arranged for them.A small party is arranged where Dev seems to be having a good time.
Agni comes to Rhea’s room sitting on the end of the bed she asks , “how is the new bride?”
Rhea smiles. “Are you enjoying your stay?”
“Of course” Agni replies, but has a worried look.
“I want to talk to you about” Agni stops when she sees Reba enter the room with coffee.
“You know what just let me know when you are free and I will speak to you then, ok?” Agni walks out looking back at Rhea as though there was something wrong.
Rhea asks Reba for a pain killer and tries to get some sleep in to recover and get some strength. Just staying in the room was very boring and lonely.
Dev come to the room and sits next to Rhea “hey, good morning sleepy head” with a soft tone she greets her in the morning.
“Wow, did I sleep through the whole day yesterday.” She asks surprised.
“Yeah, I am sorry” he replies, holding her hand gently, with tears in his eyes. “I am sorry if I have hurt you. I guess I was a little intoxicated.”
With a smile on her face “it’s ok. I was a little worried before, but now that you came to talk to me I feel fine” she replies.
She tries to get up and sit on the bed, “I feel fine actually, I would like to go out, I am bored in this room.”
“Alright then, let’s go out. Let me know when you are ready. I’ll wait for you down stairs.” Excited he kisses on her forehead and walks out of the room.
Rhea calls Reba and starts getting ready. With a smile on her face she feel confident that life from here is going to be good. She will make it good.
The guests have left and so will the family as well in two days.
Reba gives a card that was signed by Mr.Gill “Congratulation dear for finding your true love. may this love grow stronger and deeper through each passing day of your married life!”
Rhea throws the card in the bin and proceeds to get ready.
She wore a skintight frock dress that was black, with a bra-style neckline that was brown and burgundy hued. She wore her back into a long braid with nude lipstick, adding smokey brown eye shadow.she was ready to paint the town red.
Waiting by the end of the stairs was Dev, he had a different plan for the day. A ride the water and a stroll and what she wore was fit for a party.
I just wanted to relax by your side and go for a long walk. Rhea clearly disappointed shrugs of her feeling of being underwhelmed and goes along with his plan.
Why walking around she starts to feel that they both are two different people with different interest. For her it felt as though he is boring.
Dev on the other hand was completely unaware that she didn’t like his surprise. He goes on talking about his life, experience but Rhea was least interested.
“Can we go back, I am tired. Also this dress is not meant for walks.”She snaps.
“Sure, I am sorry this is very boring, I realize that.” He replied.
They both go back. Agni welcomes the couple back. “ I will have to steal her from you, Is it ok?” She asks.
Dev smiles and nods.
Agni pulls Rhea away and whispers “There was a guys here earlier asking about Mike. I gave him my number and also $5000 told him to meet me tomorrow and not discuss this with anyone. I don’t know who that was, but we are in trouble. Why do you think he was here?”
Rhea clearly was scared and in shock that her past has followed her here.
“How did he look? What did he want?” She asked.
“What does it matter how he looked Rhea, he clearly wants money, or Else why would he come here? Why would he meet me? He would have met Dev or his mom!! Don’t you think so. He also took my money to keep his mouth shut for a day.” She exclaims.
“Don’t worry, I will give the money to you. But I need your help. Keep him away. Check what he wants. I want to go away from here. After we leave no one will know where we are and I can just get away from my past.” She looks uncomfortable to even think about this situation.
“Look, trust me I will sort this out for you. I will give him the money but I think I should contact Richard and get him to sort this mess out.” She assures.
“Do what ever you want Agni, just let me know after you meet him, I will arrange for us to leave this island and cut all ties with my past and..” Dev hugs Rhea from behind and kisses her on her neck.
Rhea turn to him and smiles. “When did you get her? I didn’t realize you were her!” She exclaims,holding his hands tight she turns to Agni and smiles softly.
Dev looks at Agni and snaps his finger trying to remember where he met her before “we met near the pool earlier,right?” Agni nods in agreement, her heart beating fast. She feels a sense of happiness that he recognizes her, she is not invisible.
“Hi, Agni. We have not been introduced formally. She leans towards Devs and shakes his hand.
Holding her hand softly, he smiles.
Turns to Rhea “I have to leave for two days, something has come up and it needs my attention” he informs in excitement, still holding Agnis hand. She slowly tries to pull her hand away so that Rhea doesn’t notice, she could get real jealous.
“Oops, I am sorry. I just got caught in the moment.” He let’s go of her hand.
Rhea looks at Dev “do you really have to go? Can’t you wait for a while? I would like to spend time with you” she hugs Dev lovingly.
Agni walks away to give them some privacy.
Agni turns back to see Dev and Rhea embracing each other before they depart.
