Jeremiah eyed Mab with suspicion and asked, “What are you doing here?”
Mab banged the stone chair on which she sat with the palm of her hand. “It’s a long story, but I’m not going anywhere. I need to be exactly where I am and I need her help.”
Charley came over to Jeremiah and asked, “Did you ever find Cinderella in that hut?”
“No, we didn’t. Not too long after we were separated, Veronika and I fell through a portal and landed here.” He pointed over to Raga who cuddled up against Iara. “He helped us escape from the erupting volcano.”
Benjamin crossed his arms over his chest and asked, “You all know each other?”
