Chapter 6 Phoebe woke up to beams of brilliant light from the rising sun streaming through her window. She had a few moments of disorientation and then stretched her arms over her head and yawned. Napoleon had said that he would let her go. He had said it. She had not dreamed it. She sat up out of bed and saw that across the room Isabelle still slept. A look of worry danced across her face and she mumbled a few words in French deep in a dream. Phoebe snuck to the corner of the room without waking Isabelle up and used the chamber pot. When finished, she washed her hands and face. The cold water woke her up fully and she came back to her bed to see that Isabelle had awakened. “Bon matin.” She sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes. “Good morning to you as well.” Phoebe bounded over to Isabell
