He took his time to turn around. Then he casually said, "I wanted to tell you something."

"You… are a scoundrel!"

Didn't they say he was a retired billionaire? He is supposed to have dignity, even if it's just a little.

However, as Jasmine got to know him. She felt like he was the biggest p*****t she had seen so far!

Logan had no idea why he found it too interesting to see her angry. He stretched out his hand instinctively and tugged at her clothes.

In her fluster, she used her hands to secure her clothes properly. When he tugged them a part slid down her shoulder.

"What are you doing?" Jasmine exclaimed.

"Hold on. I'm trying…"Logan extended his hands in an attempt to pull her free up.

This triggered flashbacks from when she was still younger. "Stay there…you don't come here…"

He stared at her and saw that her eyes were filled with helplessness. Tears welled up In her eyes and threatened to fall at any moment as she stared at Logan .

Logan could see the fear in her eyes.

"Logan, I agreed to stay with you for one year. And you offered me a huge price. But this is not included in the deal."

"I'm sorry…" he uttered in a hoarse voice. I didn't know you weren't covered. I just wanted to tell you something."

Logan apologized.

This was probably the first time he apologised in his whole life. "Okay. But please leave!." she shouted.

"Alright," he said and left.

The more Jasmine thought about it, the more she felt that she had been wronged. Tears rolled down from her eyes and she began to cry on the floor.

She hadn't don't anything wrong, just past events of being r***d came crashing back.

She didn't possess the most valuable thing a woman could have. Most importantly she didn't know who those men were. And now Logan did this.

The more she thought of it, the more aggressive she was. And that just increased the tears.

Logan stood by her door and heard her cry. Then he felt like something was piercing through his heart.

He left later to stay outside as he felt bad about what he did.

Logan began to think if he actually came to tell her something or he was just bluffing.

"p*****t. He couldn't even avert his gaze."

Then she went in to take her bath and returned to her room. She dressed up and went downstairs because she wasn't ready to sleep.

She saw that the exit door was open so she decided to just walk a little.

Jasmine left the building and began strolling. The night breeze blew her long hair. She saw a familiar figure like the one she had seen before.

It was Logan.

She walked closer to him and sat on the bench where he was sitting. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." he pleaded.

"You didn't mean to? You were smiling."

"I didn't know it caused that much harm to you. I'm sorry. "

"I thought all billionaires were rude and never apologized but you're one surprising one," she said.

"You're right. I never apologize, but I saw the effect of what I did; that's why I had to apologize," he explained.

"It's okay. You apologized, that's enough," she said while she tucked in her hair.

"You seemed really scared when I came in. Did something happen to you in the past?"

"I thought someone said I shouldn't be nosy," she mentioned lifting her eyebrow.

"if you don't want to tell me, that's fine. "he said, but obviously, he wanted to know.

"When I was much younger, I was adopted by some guys. And I was r***d by all of them. "she said, smiling, trying to hide the pain.

Logan could see how pained she was and felt bad for her. He stared at her, and when he realized he was staring, he immediately averted his gaze.

"Were they ever caught. "he asked

"No. They got away."

In Logan's eyes, it was visible he felt pity for her

"You don't have to pity me. It will just make me think back to the past. "she said

"The reason why I live alone is that both my parents are dead, and my stepmom and brother both hate me," he explained.

Logan was surprised that he answered her. She felt pity for him. "You're really strong. I can't imagine myself living without my parents."I've gotten used to it already so it's fine.

"Why don't you find someone that'll love you instead of a one-year wife. "she asked.

"Curiosity will always kill the cat, he smiled. "I don't believe in love."I declared.

"That is only said when your heart has been tampered with. Someone broke your heart before. That's why you stopped loving. "she said looking at him.

"I think it's time we go in. It's beginning to become cold," he said standing up.

He obviously did not want to talk about it. Jasmine stood up.

"You don't have to talk about it. Let's go" she said and started walking back.

Logan followed and they soon got to the main building.

"And just so you know. I can make a woman fall for me "he mentioned. "Ya right. "she mocked.

"I can easily make you fall for me," he said smiling at her.

"That's something that can never happen. I told you, you're not my type and you're a jerk. "she said.

"There isn't a type when it comes to Logan Paul . "he declared. "Okay. Okay," she said, giving up.

"Are all these villas yours? You can't live in all of them." she stated "Each of them has its purpose." he said

"Which is? "she asked curiously.

"You'll soon find out. You ask too many questions. "Aren't you going to bed? "she asked.

"I want to sleep with you."Logan joked.

"Get out."She shouted.

He leaned forward and pecked her instead.
