“I’m an irresponsible, horrible, shameless, and disgusting father, Henry.” Liam pronounced word by word in a slurred tone.
He gazed up at Henry with dim doleful eyes that spoke of heartbreak, betrayal, remorse and undying love, and it didn’t take long before his eyes were beginning to shine with unshed tears.
“She hates me so much now, Henry,” Liam continued, but closed back his mouth when the image of how broken Daniella looked that night appeared in his eyes.
Recalling that night again, Liam felt like invisible knives were wrenching his heart again and again and, in order to block out his thoughts, he reached out to grab his bottle of liquor but surprisingly found it gone.
“Where’s my…” he trailed off when he looked up and saw the bottle in Henry’s hold.
