Duncan’s Point of View “White Shadow, cover the left,” Sylvester, the master of White Warrior Clan, commanded. He was the most powerful and fearless warrior I had ever seen in my entire life. With his wisdom and strength, he kept the house of White Warrior under the same roof. The middle-aged man was what everyone wanted to be. His silver sword moved like a lightning, striking and injuring those monsters severely. I was the White Shadow. The right-hand man of the Clan head, Master Sylvester. I took his command and concentrated on the left. Clasping my golden sword, I stroke one of those demons separating his head from his body. That was the only way to kill them. ‘Separate the head and then burn them.’ The five clans in our world used to live in peace until the emperor was murdered. The peace was gone. All the treaties were broken among the five clans. Three among them, the Dragon Warriors, the Nature Warrior, and the Storm Warrior, were still up for peace and another treaty, but not them. The darkest of the dark, The Skeleton Warrior. They were fearless and merciless. The only warrior clan who never played by rules. The moral values were just a joke to them. They were the first ones to start the war. Our lands fell into chaos. The increasing death forced us to fight against each other. And added to that, the demon and monster attacks increased in our territories. Those cunning creatures always took advantage of the chaotic situation. Using my elemental ability, I burnt the body of the demon and then scanned the area. Total five of them. I focused just as I was taught once. Patience was the greatest virtue for us warriors. You needed to learn when to strike, where to strike. Our men were fighting against those demons. Blood was everywhere. Our men weren’t strong enough. I inhaled deeply. Holding my sword, I ran towards those demons. I had to protect my people. I moved my weapon in a circular motion, holding it high above my head and then stroke them again. I was the fastest among all. Those demons started to fall apart from my attacks. My muscles were bulging as I continued to fight. Soon, those demons were taken care of. My sword was enough for them. I shifted my focus towards the right. There were fifteen of them, and Master Sylvester was fighting alone. I joined him soon. My sword danced against their bodies. A swift cut and one lost his head. There were too many, even though Master Sylvester was there. I pressed my sword on the earth, seeing it as the only way of survival. I knew it would take a lot of inner strength. I took my stand, bending my knees and then made a full circle, using my arms while inhaling deeply. Holding my fists near my chest, I exhaled. My breath became smoke at first and slowly it turned into fire. Touching the solid stoned ground, the fire spread across the area. I stood tall, moving my hands again, controlling them this time. The burning flame formed a fire circle in the middle of the air. Closing my eyes, I kept moving them, only feeling those demons’ presence. Another stroke and I could feel their breathing became shallow. I opened my eyes. I knew they were glowing white, showing everyone where I belonged. The White Warrior Clan, the purest of all. Slaughtering them one after another, I burnt them to ashes. “Look at our swordmaster.” “He is so strong!” “The White Shadow!” I heard them worshipping my name. Gradually, I put out the fire. Taking another deep breath, I tried to calm my muscles. A warm hand on my shoulder greeted me from behind. I turned back slowly. “Well done, White Shadow. Perhaps, it’s the time for me to step down.” Master Sylvester smiled. “I am honoured, Master.” I bowed in respect, accepting his offer. I was ready to take his position in the clan. I excepted him to say those holy words that would make me the strongest in the clan, a Master of the masters, but they never came. Instead, he started to vibrate with a peculiar sound. “Beep beep beep beep…” What was happening around? Before I could realize it, something shook the entire world, and I fell on the ground harshly, hurting my back once again. My regular wake-up scene. “Not again!” I groaned in frustration, realizing that was just another mere dream. I guessed I took the TV show too seriously. Warrior of Death. The show had consumed half of the teenagers. The furious fighting amongst the different warrior clans was what everyone talking about in the school. Everyone was curious about who would win the battle and sit on the throne of five kingdoms, just like I saw in my dream. And I was no different from them. But I could only wish to be like the White Shadow someday, strong and kind.  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hi Everyone, I wanted to experiment with different genres and here I am writing this one.
