We got into Ethan’s car and drove off, we drove in silence and in barely five minutes we got to my dorm, “I had fun today and I really enjoyed being with you” he said with a soft smile, “yeah me too” I replied shyly, we sat together in an awkward silence that I thought would last forever until Ethan said he would walk me to my door, I agreed and we came upon my door, I smiled and told him that I had a good time today, the most fun I had in a while, I was still talking when he pressed his lips against mine, I froze in shock while his tongue moved gently around my mouth, I relaxed and kissed him back, grabbing the back of his neck and pushing him closer, we kissed for a while and then he gently pulled away and smiled, “I’ll text you when I get home” he said, I nodded out of breath in reply and went into my room.

Don’t tell me you didn’t give the bastard a good comeback?” Maya said angrily, “On the contrary I apologized, i wasn’t actually watching where I was going so it was kinda my fault, but he didn’t have to be so mean about it, I mean I’m the one with the broken phone” I sighed, “I still woulda told him where to shove it, give him something to think about” Maya said with a laugh, I smiled at looked at her, she could be crazy at times.

I planned on getting the phone fixed by the weekend after texting mum and asking for the money, but I was stuck with it for the remainder of the week, I just had to wait a little while. We had a series of tests and projects scheduled for next week and I tried to read hard and cover most of the courses in preparation, I had often being told that I overworked myself in regards to my education, but in truth I had used it as a welcome distraction when I was still at home, and actually enjoyed it, Besides I hated failing, or being on average, there was no room for that, so in summary I always planned on being the top of my classes.

It was drizzling-gently when I left lectures, so I packed a few books, and walked home quickly., praying in the back of mind that Maya was alone at home and didn’t have any friends over, so I could focus on my school work without any distractions, as I walked in the corridors I heard soft music sounds and laughter coming from our room and I knew at once that my prayers weren’t answered. I entered the room and the lights were off, I thought nothing of it as Maya sometimes turned of the lights when she wanted to rest or just before she went to bed, I pulled off my top which was now damp and removed my jeans, left in just my bra and panties I pulled out my hair and let it fall so I could blow dry it, on my way to the wardrobe to get a fresh change of clothes the lights went on, “wow” I heard a voice say, I turned around quickly and saw a strange guy sitting on Maya’s bed, I was about to respond when I took a close look at him and recognized his eyes, those baby blues wasn’t something I’ll forget easily, “What the f**k are you doing here?” I thundered, “I could ask you the same thing” he replied with a smirk, “this is my room and you’re an outsider, so I’ll be the one asking the questions” I said boiling in rage, “still got that attitude I see”, he replied in indifference and proceeded to lie down and increase the volume of the song playing, I stood staring at him and muttered some insults but my voice was drowned by the sound of the music.

At that moment Maya walked in carrying a few bags, “hey dolls ! She said excitedly, I see you guys have already met. “yeah, I replied, but sometimes you make me question your choice of friends” I said with an eye roll, “likewise” the guy replied with a frown.
