Chapter 4

Lear spoke respectfully, "Lord, Young Mistress has lost too much blood and needs a transfusion!"

Ethan replied urgently, "Use my blood, as much as she needs! Quickly!"

As he left the scene, Ethan ordered someone to cut off Scar's head to honor the more than thirty members of his family who had perished.

After Ethan left, a man in black arrived at the scene. After examining the area, he confirmed that the dead were indeed Scar and his men.

In a dark corner, the man in black found someone trembling and in a state of shock.

He was one of Scar's underlings. When Ethan was killing, this man had gone to the bathroom and returned just in time to witness everything, which drove him insane.

"Devil! Devil!" He muttered repeatedly.

The man in black squatted down, pulled out a tranquilizer pill, and pressed it into the man's hand, asking, "Tell me, who did this?"

Finally, the underling managed to say, "Ethan… Ethan Howell, he's back!"

Snap! The man in black snapped the underling's neck and then returnedto report to their boss, Viper.

Viper was enraged! He slammed his fist on the table like a raging lion, roaring, "Ethan, you killed Scar! You're going to die! Your whole family will pay with their lives!"

Then, Viper looked at the man in black and said coldly, "Go, bring that slut Sarah Howell here. Put her in a cage and let Ethan watch his wife get torn apart by dogs. Then, we'll chop him up and feed him to the dogs too!"

"Yes, sir!" Then the man in black headed toward the Rainford residence.

The next day, at Seaview City Hospital, Ethan woke up in his hospital bed and saw that Lily had also woken up; her severed finger had been reattached.

The hospital director, Peter, Lear, and Zico all stood nearby, bowing slightly.

"Lord," Lear reported immediately, "Young Mistress is out of danger."

Ethan sighed in relief at his words. If anything had happened to Lily, he would never have forgiven himself. Thankfully, she was okay.

Yesterday, Ethan had given a lot of blood to Lily. Despite feeling weak, he picked her up and kissed her forehead, filled with guilt. "Lily, Daddy is sorry. I didn't protect you well enough."

Lily clung tightly to Ethan's neck and, in her childish voice, said, "No, Daddy is my hero, the strongest one ever!"

However, Ethan noticed the triangular burn scar on Lily's face, which was especially noticeable on her beautiful features, and he frowned deeply.

'Damn Scar, I should have flayed him alive to death!'

He turned to Lear and asked sternly, "Lear, can you remove this scar?"

Lear looked uncomfortable and replied, "I'm afraid my skills aren't up to the task, Lord."

Ethan felt disappointed. 'Could such a beautiful child be disfigured forever?'

Then, Lear added, "However, my teacher can do it."

Ethan wanted to slap him. 'Why couldn't you just say that all at once?' He asked, "You mean God's Hand, Ishtar?"

Lear nodded. "Yes, he's the last descendant of the Maya and has performed countless medical miracles. He's even brought people back from the brink of death. They say in the medical world that Ishtar is the only one who can bargain with God."

"Tell me, where is he? I need to find him personally!" Ethan said anxiously.

Lear shook his head. "Lord, my teacher travels constantly and doesn't stay in one place. Finding him will be difficult. But rest assured, I'll mobilize all my fellow students, and we'll inform you the moment we learn his whereabouts."

Ethan looked discouraged, then said with determination, "You must find him, or there will be consequences!"

Lear broke into a cold sweat and said nervously, "Lord, I swear I will find him."

Seeing Ethan's distress, Lily hugged him and comforted him. "Daddy, don't be sad. I don't hurt anymore. As long as Daddy is here, Lily isn't scared of anything."

Ethan almost cried, stroking Lily's head. "Lily, I won't leave you again. I'll always be here to protect you, okay?"

Lily beamed. "Great, great!"

"Lily, what do you want to eat? Daddy will buy it for you." Ethan asked indulgently.

"I want chocolate. It's so yummy, but Mommy only lets me have one piece a day."

"How about a whole box? Would you like that?"

Lily was thrilled. "Great! My daddy is the best in the world!"

Seeing Lily's happiness, Ethan smiled warmly, feeling that everything was worth it.

Lear cleared his throat cautiously. "Lord, Young Mistress should avoid eating for now and stick to intravenous fluids."

Ethan nodded and looked at Lily. "Lily, how about we have chocolate tomorrow?"

Lily pouted reluctantly. "Okay."

Suddenly remembering something, Ethan asked, "Lily, where's Mommy?"

It seemed strange that Sarah hadn't made any moves after Lily had been kidnapped. It wasn't normal.

Zico interjected, "Lord, we've found out where Lady Howell is. She's going on a date today."

"What!" Ethan couldn't believe his ears. His daughter had been kidnapped, and Sarah hadn't done anything about it. And now she was going on a date!

Ethan clenched his fists. 'Sarah, did I misjudge you?'

Ethan asked angrily, "Who is she dating?"

"The Rainfords want to marry her off to the son of the Smith family, John Smith, to curry favor with them!"

"Did she agree?"

Zico explained, "They threatened her using Lily as leverage, and Lady Howell agreed to save our daughter. Today is the day John is supposed to come to the Rainford residence to propose."

'I see. I wronged Sarah!' Ethan said furiously, "Fine. Let's go to the Rainford residence. I want to see who dares to threaten my wife!"
