Chapter 15

Ceelin "What are the people who don't have money doing in this expensive store?" Paula asked in an insulting tone as she approached us. She thought I couldn't afford to buy any clothes in that store. Well, if I were alone, I wouldn't be able to buy even one of the clothes there. But since I have Phil's black card, I don't have to worry about the prices. It's just that I'm not used to spending money on a single dress. "Ceelin is going to buy that dress. It's definitely suited for her." Yves answered Paula's question and pointed to the red dress we wanted to buy. Paula raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms across her chest before laughing out loud. "You're going to buy that dress? Do you have money? Do you know how expensive the clothes in this store are?" "Who are they, Paula?" Jessa suddenly asked. She was tall and fair. Her height was just right for Phil's. Beautiful and rich. She and Phil are perfect for each other. "This woman is Ceelin. She dreams of becoming Mrs. Salvatore. She seduced my brother," Paula said to Jessa before turning to me. "Look at the woman beside me, Ceelin. She is Jessa Willow, the heir of the Willow Group. She is my real sister-in-law and the only woman in my brother's heart. So stop seducing my brother. You're not worthy of him." "Hi, I'm Jessa. Phil's fiancée. Nice to meet you, Ceelin," Jessa introduced herself to me with a smile. Her smile was friendly but I knew that behind her smile was a hideous attitude. She extended her hand to me but I didn't accept it. I didn't have time to have a fake friendly chat with her. "You see, sister-in-law? That's the attitude of a cheap woman," Paula said with a frown when she saw that I didn't accept Jessa's handshake. "Don't dream of becoming Mrs. Salvatore, Ceelin. Now that I'm back you won't be able to seduce Phil anymore." Finally, Jessa's true attitude came out. I smiled at them with scorn. "I am his wife now. If you want to be Phil's mistress, it's up to you." Jessa's face suddenly turned pale when she heard what I said. "What? You're already his wife?" she shook her head firmly. "No. Impossible!" "Don't believe her, sister-in-law. She's lying to make you leave my brother." Paula glared at me. "And even if my brother marries her, my family will still recognize you as the real Mrs. Salvatore." Jessa's confidence returned with Paula's words. "Did you hear what Paula said, Ceelin? Her family will never recognize you as part of their family." "Do you think I care about it?" I replied to her with a raised eyebrow. "For your information, I don't care whether they recognize me as Phil's wife or not. They are not the people I live with in the house and in bed. Even if you want to be a legal wife, you will still end up being a mistress as long as I'm married to him." "Shameless, woman!" Jessa hissed with a dark face. Her patience with me was about to break. When the saleslady returned, Jessa faced her and spoke to her. "Wrap this dress for me. I will pay for it no matter how much it is," she ordered the saleslady. "I'm sorry, Ma'am. But Ms. Miller has already chosen it. Just choose another dress, Ma'am," the saleslady replied politely. Jessa's eyes widened in anger. "Didn't you hear what I said? That's the dress I want to buy so you're going to sell it to me." "I'm the sister of the owner of this mall and I can fire you from your position any time," Paula threatened the poor saleslady. "What are you waiting for? Wrap the dress that my sister-in-law wants to buy!" Paula is really arrogant. She and Jessa have the same attitude, which is why they get along well. "What are we going to do, Ceelin? That dress suits you. If you wear that to your father-in-law's birthday party, the spotlight will definitely be on you," Yves whispered to me. "It's okay, Yves. Paula is Phil's sister, so she has more rights than I," I replied to my friend in a weak voice. I don't know if Phil would be on my side this time especially since Paula is with Jessa. I don't want to call him to ask for help because I might just embarrass myself. "I'm really sorry, Ma'am Paula. But Mr. Salvatore just called before I came to you. He strictly instructed me to give everything Ms. Miller wants in the store, including the dress you want to buy. He said that if anyone bothers Ms. Miller while she's shopping, I'll immediately call a guard and have them removed from the store," the saleslady explained at length. Jessa and Paula's faces darkened at the same time. Neither of them could believe that Phil would do that just for me. "Your husband is really awesome, Ceelin! He really loves you," Yves exclaimed happily, then flashed an annoyed grin at the two women whose noses were already steaming with annoyance. "Don't be so happy, Ceelin. I'm Phil's fiancée. And when he gets tired of playing with you, I'm sure he'll just throw you away like trash," Jessa's eyes glaring at me. "Calm down, Jessa. Don't get too angry and your forehead will only get more wrinkles," I teased her. The woman only got more annoyed because the saleslady and my friend laughed at her. "Let's go, Paula. I don't want my day to be completely ruined because of that woman." Jessa didn't wait for Paula anymore and hurriedly turned around. She took large steps as she walked away from us. Paula snorted and followed her immediately. Yves and I happily did the high-five after the two mean girls left. They thought they would ruin our day. But I couldn't believe that Phil valued me that much. Or maybe it was just today and tomorrow he will no longer support me. After we went shopping, Yves invited me to go to the bar. I just had the clothes I chose at the store delivered to Phil's house for free. It was only free because the saleslady didn't charge me for all the clothes, shoes, and other things I liked. Phil said he would take care of paying for them. "You know what, Ceelin? I think your husband really likes you. If he didn't like you, he wouldn't worry about you and he wouldn't spoil you like this," Yves said while we were drinking wine. This time, I only drank a little wine so I wouldn't get drunk right away. "Phil and Jessa were childhood sweethearts. After she left for another country, Phil became aloof from women. Once any misunderstandings between them are resolved, he will definitely divorce me and go back to Jessa," I explained to Yves. "As far as I know, Phil was already aloof from women even before. And according to the gossip I heard about him, he secretly likes another woman. Maybe that woman is not Jessa." I suddenly fell silent. Does Phil like another woman besides Jessa? I thought Jessa was the woman Paula was referring to whom her brother secretly likes.
