I could still hear Larry’s voice while he was talking to Phil before darkness swallowed my consciousness. I didn’t hear what Phil answered to what his doctor friend said.
Larry injected me with a sedative so I wouldn’t feel the pain from my reopened wound. The pain reliever he gave me hadn’t taken effect yet so it's better for me to sleep first.
When I woke up, I saw that Phil was still beside me, staring at me. I tried not to frown. Didn’t he leave my side since I fell asleep earlier?
