Ceelin
I couldn't accept that what happened to me in my past life would happen again in my second life. I immediately got out of bed to put on my clothes, which were under the bed. I have to get out of this room before Phil and I's parents come and force us to marry each other.
I had finished getting dressed and was just fixing my messy hair when Phil suddenly woke up. Anger immediately appeared on his face when he saw me and himself without clothes. He immediately approached me and choked me.
"You shameless, woman! You drugged me and brought me into this room! You did this so I could marry you, right?" The veins in Phil's neck were throbbing with intense anger. "Don't think I'm going to marry you because something happened to us. I will never marry a woman like you!"
I tried to remove his hands that were strangling my neck. But his hands were like iron and no matter what I did, I couldn't get them off. I'm having trouble breathing.
I pushed his chest but he still wouldn't let go of my neck. I had no choice but to kick him between his legs.
"You left me no choice, Mr. Salvatore. You'll kill me if you don't let go of my neck," I panted after he was forced to let go of my neck.
"You're a shameless and evil woman!" he said angrily while bending over and feeling the pain of my kick to his manhood. "You will pay for this!"
"Before you get angry, listen to what I have to say, Mr. Salvatore," I said to him angrily. "First, nothing happened to us. We just slept in bed together and naked but I'm sure nothing happened between the two of us. Second, both of us were drugged and brought to this room. Lastly, hurry up and put on your clothes before our parents come. When they come and see you looking like that, what you're thinking will definitely happen. And for your information, even if you were the last man in the world, I would never marry you. So don't be full of yourself. Not every woman wants to marry you and be a part of your family."
"Do you think I'm going to believe what you said?" he hissed at me. The anger on his face was still indescribable.
I was about to answer what he said when I heard voices approaching the room we were in. My eyes widened and I suddenly panicked.
"Shut up and just do what I said!" I shouted at Phil in panic. I didn't wait for him to do what I said. I helped him pick up his clothes, which were also under the bed. Just like me, Phil was wearing underwear. Now I was sure that nothing intimate had happened between us. They just took off our outer garments. "Go to the bathroom and get dressed. Quick!"
I pulled him to the bathroom and pushed him in then hurriedly rearranged the messy bed a little. I placed a pillow on the long sofa as well as the blanket so they would think that Phil had slept on the sofa.
I was just about to lie down on the bed when the door opened. My parents angrily entered the room along with Phil's parents, his sister Paula, and my younger sister.
"What does this mean, Ceelin? Why are you here in this room?" my Dad angrily asked me. I secretly laughed because he was so good at acting. He should have just become an actor and not a businessman.
Before I could answer my father, Phil came out of the bathroom, freshly bathed and wearing only a bathrobe.
"What does this mean, Phil? Why are you in the same room with that woman?" his mother asked Phil angrily.
"What else does this mean, Mrs. Salvatore? Our children spent their night alone inside a room and slept in one bed. Anyone can guess what happened to them," my father's tone was certain.
I saw my mother's secret smile and the meaningful look she exchanged with my father. They thought their evil plans would succeed. But no matter what happened, I would not allow myself to marry Phil in this life.
"Don't be exaggerated, Dad. Nothing happened between me and Phil. And we didn't sleep in the same bed," I quickly countered my father. He glared at me but I ignored him. "I was the only one who slept in the bed. Phil is a gentleman so he slept on the sofa." I pointed to the sofa where there was a pillow and a crumpled blanket that had not yet been folded.
Phil stared at me as if reading what was in my mind but I quickly looked away from him.
"No. I don't believe that nothing happened between the two of you," my father insisted. He approached me and firmly grabbed my arm. I secretly clenched my fist because his grip on my arm hurt. He wanted to tell me not to oppose what he wanted to happen, but instead just get along with him. "Don't be afraid, Ceelin. Daddy is here. I won't let anyone hurt you. Phil needs to be responsible for what happened to you."
I forcefully removed his hand that was tightly gripping my arm. This time, I would not let him manipulate my life.
"Dad, how many times do I have to tell you that nothing happened between Phil and me. He doesn't need to be responsible because nothing happened between us. If you don't believe me, I'm willing to see a doctor to assure you that my virginity is still intact," I explained to him again. I really emphasized that nothing had happened between us so that my father would have no reason to force the marriage between Phil and me. "And besides, I don't like him so why would I marry him?"
My father's gaze became even sharper. Even my Mom was looking at me sharply, but she couldn't speak up to insist that Phil must take the responsibility, as my father had wanted.
"What really happened and you slept in the same room, Phil?" Mr. Salvatore asked his son in a calm voice. He was really kind. I wish he could have been my father.
"Someone drugged us and deliberately brought us into this room, Dad. Luckily, I was able to control myself, so my sanity prevailed. I stood under the shower until I calmed down. And Ceelin was right. She was the only one who slept in the bed because I slept on the sofa," Phil explained to his father. He stared at me again, but like before, I just avoided his gaze.
"Even if it's true that nothing happened between our children, people still won't believe it, Mr. Salvatore. My daughter will be ridiculous. Her reputation will be ruined. What sane man would agree to marry her? It's only right that your son marry my daughter so that her reputation won't be ruined." My father really insists that Phil will marry me. It seems like he won't let his plan fail.
"I don't care about my reputation, Dad. I also don't care if no man wants to marry me because I have no intention of getting married. Don't insist on what you want because that won't happen," I countered my father again.
"Listen to your Dad, Ceelin. What he wants to happen is for your own good too. You need to marry, Phil," Mommy convinced me. For the first time, she spoke up to side with my father.
I secretly laughed at them. They are really good at portraying themselves as my loving parents. What a perfect couple. Now I doubt that they are my real parents. Because no parent wants their child to be in a bad situation.
"Mom. Dad. If you really want to have a connection to the Salvatore family through marriage, then why don't you let my younger sister marry Phil instead of forcing me to marry him?" I asked my parents frankly. This time, I knew that their plan had no hope of succeeding. I secretly cheered.
My father slapped me angrily. "How dare you say that to us! You're unfilial daughter!"
My father was so embarrassed that he left the room without saying goodbye after giving me a strong slap. My mother and Lucy immediately followed him.
"I'm sorry for the trouble, Mr. Salvatore," I apologized to Phil's father. I took a quick glance at Phil before leaving the room.
Even though my face hurt from my father's slap, I felt happy and had a light feeling. I had finally escaped the situation that had made my life more miserable in my past life. From now on, I will decide my own fate. I will create my destiny.
