RUTHLESS

CHAPTER SIX Ruthless Avery couldn’t find a tangible weapon in the mansion, she knew the two guards stationed might want to stop the girls. So she made them unconscious without much thought. She led the girls out of the mansion, like an outcast seeking for a new refuge. She got rid of all the unnecessary obstacles. Avery didn’t bother to ask why no one heard the screaming inside the mansion earlier, she figured that this mansion might be sound proofed. It seems like they were all prepared, and Avery was certain this is not the only secret the Whiteman keeps. Amy was efficient despite feeling pains all over her body, she helped Maggie carry those who were unconscious into the RV car. There were eight of them in total, and four were unconscious. Amy tried to sit at the shotgun seat, bearing the pain in her body. Avery noticed Amy’s struggles and stepped out to help. “Here.” Avery’s voice was cold all through, but Amy’s eyes trembled. She didn’t expect to get help from a cold and ruthless person. Amy awkwardly held out her hand and Avery held it and helped her sit down at the rear. Amy placed her hand on the stirring, and felt a painful jolt on her arm. “Can you drive?” Avery asked. Amy awkwardly shook her head. “I can drive, but I don’t know if I will be able to hold on for long.” “Just Drive out of this mansion first, when you feel numb, stop the car. I’ll follow behind you.” “Okay.” Amy hoarsely replied. Her eyes were bright and she stared at the cold woman in front of her. Amy realised that this new Miss Avery has a cold personality, but the fountain of care that erupts unconsciously from her heart is something rare. Avery needs to get other cars out of the mansion, she currently has low capital and needs. Together, both cars ignited and they drove off. Avery wants to hide the whereabouts of the girls, she doesn't want to admit them to the hospital, and endanger their life. In the past, when she was a top assassin, she has been endowed with many life-sufficient skills. And performing surgery is no. 3 on her skills list. Amy drove towards the apartment. The apartment was inside the city, its surrounding had few people. The car came to a halt and Amy rested in the car for a while. She has no idea that her will power would be enough to get them here. Avery, who was following behind them, also got out of the car. Using the keys she found in one of Avery’s wardrobes, she skillfully opened the door. “You all should get in.” It wasn’t a statement, but an order. The girls got out of the RV and slowly made their way into the apartment. The apartment was brightly lit, with electricity. They all looked for a place to sit and waited for Avery’s next orders. “You don’t need to be treated in the hospital, I don’t want to alert whiteman. I have plans for you all.” She paused and stared at them. “Trust me when I say, I can take care of you.” Avery’s aura didn’t decrease, instead it made her graceful. “I will treat you myself. I’ll be going back to Devon's estate and get sufficient funds. Do you feel hungry?” “Mistress, I can take care of them together with Maggie. We will wait till you are back.” Amy suddenly felt that she now bore a great responsibility. Avery nodded in acquiescence, “Wait for me then, here, in case I delay, order a take out.” Maggie nodded and collected the card, “Thank you mistress.” Maggie appears timid, but she’s smart. Avery turned and left without looking back. She drove straight to Devon's estate following the memory in her mind. Avery isn’t worried about the Whiteman family finding out her deed, she made sure she didn’t leave any evidence. Well, unless Helen is stupid, she doesn't have the ability to reveal the whole incident. Without evidence, she is just like a broken doll. Avery came to a halt and beheld the extremely large gate in front of her. Her car was scanned and the gate automatically opened. Avery chuckled slyly. This invisible husband of hers is very capable. She drove in with a high speed the moment the gate opened. The estate was very large and it took her fifteen minutes to see the estate outline. Twenty guards were loitering around and the moment they saw a sports car rushing in with great momentum, they became alert. Seeing their stance, a wicked grin appeared on her face, and she increased her speed again, driving towards them. The few guards at the estate’s rear nearly had a heart attack. They pointed a pistol towards the oncoming car and prepared to shoot. The car suddenly made a 360 degrees, narrowly avoiding the guards at the rear. “Who!” The head guard shouted, alert. Avery opened the car door, as the guards watched as a slender foot wearing a canvas protruding out of the car. They stared, like though it could poke a hole into the car. Avery’s movements were lazy all through, her figure came into their full view and they took a sharp breath. “Avery?” The head guard uttered, quite baffled. “Yes It’s me.” Her next actions caught them off guard, as she kicked a guard off his feet, disarming him in an instant and stepped on his throat. The guard groaned, shocked by her attack. Without mercy, Avery fiercely stepped on his throat hard. Even if the guard were to make it alive, his voice box would be destroyed. Probably becoming dumb in the future. Avery grabbed the gun away from the guard and pointed it at the others. “You better think before you act.” No humour could be detected from her voice at all. It produced a chill as she stared at them defiantly. As people who had seen what the former Miss Avery was like, the drastic change was too shocking. One of the guards didn’t pay heed to her warning and pulled the trigger angrily. He couldn’t believe a mere Miss Avery dared to threaten them. Instantly, Avery’s eyes became more stern, wearing a bloodthirsty smile she used the wire on her left hand to whip his wrist holding the gun. Before the bullet could graze her shoulders, Avery flamboyantly dodged and the bullet inserted deeply into the car behind her. “Nice try.” Avery shot the man in between his eyebrows, ending his pathetic life. The others didn’t dare to mess with her, seeing her mean and ruthless stance. They watched as the guard fell on his feet, lifeless. They still couldn’t overcome the shock and fear that sprang inside their veins. They stared at Avery, like though they’ve seen a reincarnated ghost of dusk.
