The three wolves frolicked through the forest for nearly two hours, when Eudora’s wolf suddenly skidded to a halt, and her white head turned sharply back to the house. She gave a yelp, and turned and started running full speed back toward the compound.
"Victoria!" Eudora cried in alarm through the mind-link.
Penny and Jericho could do nothing but follow her, as she was still unnaturally fast, even in her wolf form. They found her back in the little clearing, frantically circling through the mud and pine needles.
