THE DISCOVERY

CHAPTER 6:

George knew he was not normal..at least he knew this in his heart. The doctors dygnosed his illness as dangue fever, and they thought he was recovering from it. Debra visited to check him for a couple of times. George was not feeling too normal. He couldn't explain it to doctors because his doubts could be irrational. He told them about his anxiety, they suggested some anti-depressants to him and he recovered in a few days.

He picked his cat and thanked Debra and her daughter for taking care of his cat in his absence. They offered him to have dinner with them. He felt alive in his heart while he talked to them, and spent most of the evening talking. They dropped him to his cabin and emphasised on keeping them informed about his health.

" Next time George, I would not like to find you stumbling around. You can just call me in case of any problem."

Debra said to him.

"Sure..you have been so kind to me. I am absolutely thankful of you for everything you did"

George said to her.

Debra and Maisey left after helping him in a few adjustments.

Late in the night as George was trying to sleep, his mobile rang, he picked up, his friend Benjamin on the other side of the call.

" Hey Georgie, I think whatever happened to us while we were camping was not just mosquito bite..I think we were attacked by⁹ something more supernatural...something else that we couldn't see."

Benjamin's voice was shaky and horrified.

" Come on Ben. How is it possible? Have you lost your mind? I have been discharged from the hospital tonight man, I have just recovered from dangue fever and I don't think there was any room for the enterance of a vampire into our tent back there." George said astonishingly.

Benjamin already sounded too worried.

" No you don't understand. I was admitted to the hospital too after a seizure. The doctors discharged me after a few days. I was just researching about the possible calamities of that area where we went. Georgie no dangue fever case ever occured in that forest. In fact after applying the mosquito repellant, which we did..not even a common mosquito could bite us."

Ben said to George. It was clearly unbelievable for him.

" Georgie...I think we were bitten by no insect but some sort of a vampire or shape shifter." Benjamin said in a lower voice.

" Ben ..listen to me..I know we are both not well and we both need help..but please don't panic. We will figure out this tomorrow. Please try to stay calm meanwhile. " George said to Benjamin.

Benjamin's call confirmed his fear. He knew something was really not too normal.
