THE TOWN

CHAPTER 2: It was snowing but the weather was not too harsh for a stroll as it was not too windy. Debra was feeling curious because as a shop owner, she always thought it important to know every new comer in the town. She was a woman in her early forties but sometimes she used to feel like she had wits of her great grandmother. Both of them walked for a mile. Maisey liked it...she loved to walk in frosty weather...unless it remained tolerable . They walked for a mile, which was an easy path through the woods though...soon they reached the house. They saw a car outside that house. "Mum look someone is a "human"and not an alien, Maisey chuckled. Debra blushed on her own anxieties. " Off course someone's a human Maisey, but I just wondered that who could live in this house. I mean I have seen it vacant most of the time. Even the owners have put it for online booking." Debra said defensively to her daughter. " Keep believing in the nicer things in the world mum. If the owners have put it for the online booking, then somebody might just have arrived last night, so that's a normal too." they both laughed. They headed back to their home, knowing that their walk was fun and ended well but Debra kept on removing her embarrassment by telling about the importance of being well- awared of the surroundings. Debra used to tell the whole detail of the costumers that visited her shop. Sometimes she felt silly for being so observant. When they reached home, Debra made two cups of frothy hot chocolate and they both continued with their gossips. ******************* George didn't realise and slept the whole day. It was already evening..but it was a full of nightmares sleep He woke up...tired and his whole body ached. George smiled at his cat and walked towards the windows to look outside...the town had lighted up for the night. "Hmm....the town is a bit far fluffy, but no problem, I will get something for both of us." George said to his cat, who didn't care about anything but it's sleep. Ever since he visited his old classmate, he was feeling weird. He lost weight, became workaholic and somewhat cold hearted. He was still single, because that's how he felt comfortable . He was straight but never indulged in any relationship for longer than a few months.
