I AM glad that I accepted Trei’s offer to take me home. The few minutes we spent inside his car just talking about how our day was a good way to end my day.
I ask him to drop me off a few blocks away from our house since my mom is probably waiting for me to go home. Trei seems to understand my reason without me telling him about it. He just nods and did what I requested.
The car stops and we both look at each other. I am reluctant to go and I can sense that he feels the same too. I take a deep breath and smile. “I will go to school tomorrow. We don’t have a game and we will not practice to rest our bodies. So… see you tomorrow.”
Trei inhales too and smiles slightly. “See you tomorrow. Go on. We will go when I make sure that you are already inside your house.”
