(Aya)             “YOU LOOK like you’re not getting enough sleep lately, captain. You have dark circles in your eyes,” Heather, our team’s middle blocker, comments the moment I enter the court for our morning volleyball practice that Monday. We usually don’t have a morning session but since the Youth League is just around the corner, our coach and club advisor filed a request so all the volleyball players can be excused during morning classes to focus on training from today and during the tournament. “You don’t usually look that way when a tournament is near. In fact, you look more excited and energized. But you don’t look like that today. Is something wrong, captain?” Heather continues to ask.   I blink and almost wince because she was right.
