I woke up with a start ,my breathing considerably and my eyes swollen, I must have cried myself to sleep again Apparently I did .

Mostly I tried not to sleep at all; the less I slept, the fewer nightmares I had.it would be the same thing time and time again.

I was still locked in the room and it was already morning.

I could perceive the nice food marina was cooking, and the romantic smells were everywhere.

She was a good cook but used food to punish me. At times, she would starve me all day and occupy me with lots of work .

It was so tiring but I had no choice than to obey her .

Still in thought, I just hoped and wished I could be free from all this someday.

Now I could hear the voice of Alben. Cold ran through my veins immediately .

This time I had nowhere to run to or who to call for help .

Where is that useless girl, he said.

Today I will teach her a lesson never to forget.

He opened the door before I could talk. He pounced on me and started beating me. I cried and begged for mercy but there was nobody to save me .

Uncle, please have mercy, I will not disobey your orders again . I will marry him, please don't kill me .

The whips were so unbearable I became weak. I thought this would be my last day on earth .

I could not move or talk, and more strokes were still coming .At this point Marina held Alben and told him it was ok.

If you kill her ,the deal with Mr Jackson's will be closed.

He looked at me as if he wanted to kill me then he spat on me and left the room with marina .

This was worse compared to the marina beating. I moan in pain .

I noticed my head was bleeding with pain. The pain kept on increasing. I could not move or talk .

I tried using the bed stand to get up but it failed .

The more I tried helping myself, the more I became weak . At that point, I could not move . I lay down almost lifeless on the floor .

Alben was shouting. She thinks she can ruin our plans no way .It won't happen.

This is a lifetime opportunity if she spoils it.

I will make sure I kill her with that poverty boy that cannot offer anything. I will kill them both .

I have called Mr Jackson's and he will soon be here to pick her up . She will stay with him until the wedding takes place.

That's my final decision, nothing changes.

Is like there's someone knocking. Go look who is there. Alben told marina .

She walked directly to the door and opened it. Surprisingly for her it was a young boy well dressed and the smell of his perfume was everywhere .

Who could this be? She stares at him. Her looks could tell that she was confused .

Good morning, ma, please can I come in he said with a sweet and gentle voice .

Marina slowly opened the door for him and led him to a cool couch to have his seat .

Who are you and how can I help you, said Alben.

He quickly cleared his throat and let a sign of relief flow through him.

My name is Richard and I am Vanessa's boyfriend . I came here to see you .

I don't want to beat around the bush. I love your daughter so much . We love each other so much .

I can't afford to lose her. That's why I am here to seek your idea of getting married to your daughter .

So you're the useless boy that is making my daughter disobey my orders, said Marina .

Alben quickly held his right hand and was about to drag him out of the house when a sound started coming from Vanessa's room .

Richard quickly noticed something was wrong . He asked what the sound was about .

Please leave my house and don't come back. Alben said this time he was pushing him .

Richard quickly pushed him down; he went straight to the door and pushed it open .

He was shocked as his eyes were filled with tears.

My face was covered with blood, lying almost lifeless .

He quickly carried me up with tears running down his cheek as he led me to the sitting room.

Alben and Marina were shocked at that moment. How could you have let this happen, marina said. You want to kill her for me.

Richard, my love was not bothered by their argument; he was concerned about my safety first .

He took me outside looking for a way he could get a cab that would take me to the hospital .

When a car drove in , it was one of Mr Jackson's men who had come to pick me up. There were three.

This time they came by force to take me to Mr Jackson's house . But I was surprised to see something different .

What happened to her ? Asked one of the men . Alben was scared that if Jackson found out that I did this to his soon-to-be wife he might punish me .

So he quickly put the blame on Richard and Marina, who was confused, quickly supported him as she began to cry .

This is the man that did this to my daughter . Without thinking twice, one of the men carried me inp his hands, put me in the car and the rest started beating Richard without letting him explain.

He fought them all, but he could not beat them; they were too powerful for him. They beat him so badly until he managed to escape .
