The Barbecue and the mate

I suddenly stand in a meadow full of beautiful flowers and a lake to one side. The breeze is gentle and warm and I know being here can only mean one thing.

You are correct, I look to my right as I hear the moon goddess speak to me and I bow. I have another job for you she says. Yes Luna how may I be of service? I ask her. I have another girl you need to take care of, I have already created the bond so she thinks that you are her mate. She has taken a Luna from her alpha and is to be punished like the others. You know what to do, she says. Her name is Naomi and she is at the Rolling Creek pack, you will be summoned there in one week for a party. There is where you will meet her and she will believe you to be her mate. Yes Luna I will not fail you, she will pay the price for her sin. Be well my child I hear her say as everything fades away and I Suddenly jolt awake in my bed. What’s wrong babe I hear my beautiful Luna ask me, I smile at her, the moon goddess has another job for me. She sits up and looks at me, when are you leaving she asks. One week and I’ll only be gone for a couple of days. Okay, who is it this time? She asks. Some girl from the Rolling Creek pack. When will women learn that you should never separate mates, let along a Luna and alpha. I agree and kiss her forehead, with that we both drift back to sleep.

One week later:

Naomi’s POV

As I’m standing in the backyard of the pack house making sure everything is ready for the other packs and helping to prepare for the barbecue I feel very nervous and jittery today but I’m not sure why. My wolf tells me that she is Geri the same way. I just have this bad feeling that something is very wrong, ughh I’m sure I’m just nervous about meeting new packs. Just then the Luna mid links me and tells me that the guests are arriving so I make my way to the front of the pack house to greet them with the alpha and beta families. So far three packs have arrived, when the fourth pulled up and the door opens I freeze and almost pass out. Standing there right in front of my eyes is my mate and let me tell you he is beautiful. Tall, tan and muscular with blue eyes and dark brown hair short cut and neat like men from the 60’s and 70’s that were in the navy would style their hair. I was staring like a total creep. He walked up to me and gave me this panty dropping smile. He was so gorgeous with his cute dimples that appeared when he smiled.

Mate we both said and my family was so happy but oddly his pack just stood there smirking in a weird way. It made me feel very uncomfortable, just then someone cleared their throat and said let’s head into the house to get you all settled. I showed my mate to his room and we stayed there for a while talking. He is so sweet and he is the alpha of his pack. Omg I’m going to be Luna after all. As we make our way out to the backyard I hear people talking and having a good time. As we approach my family I see them all smiling and happy. Mom, dad this is Alpha Jacob and my mate. My mom hugs him and everyone is congratulating us when Justin walks up looking upset but he tries to be nice nonetheless. Hi I’m alpha Justin I’m happy Naomi has found her mate, please keep her safe. I will says Jacob but before Justin walks away Jacob suddenly says don’t be hard on yourself it’s going to be rectified soon and with that Jacob takes my hand and walks away from the group leaving Justin looking stunned. When I asked him what that was about he just said nothing important just alpha talk.

He grabs my hands and begins kissing my knuckles and says please tell me that you are coming with me to be my Luna my love, I can’t live without you. I was blushing so hard by this point it was ridiculous of course I am I don’t ever want to be without you but when will we make and mark each other I ask him. He just chuckles and says patience my love, when we get home there will be plenty of time for that. The next three days pass by and we are spending every minute together. As I’m watching my luggage get packed into the car I can’t help but have this nawing feeling I have that something is wrong but I can’t quite put my finger on it. I push it away and get in the car with my mate. We have been driving for 9 hours when we suddenly come to a glorious mansion that has to be at least 8 stories high and covers at least 2 blocks. I gasp and my mate chuckles. I take it you like it he says I just smile and nod.
