As I lay in bed, I heard raised voices coming from downstairs. Tiptoeing down the hall, I tried to move silently and made it to just outside the conference room. I heard the sound of heated argument, mostly from my uncle. "I don't care what you, the council says, this is my birthright to be King!" My father stood up and passed an envelope to the council members, their decision firm that it would be my father to lead the many packs. The envelope made its way around the Elders until it finally landed in my uncle's hands. As he opened it, his face transformed from curiosity to anger and disbelief.
