ALISSA
The choice wasn’t mine to make in this matter as the ever-silent but observant happy in this moment made his decision after listening to what King Kai Fuchsia had to say. His furry black paw landed on top of the jar of potion.
“Well, that settles it then. I’m with Hank on this one,” said Anfim as he walked forward to take the jar on the table in his hands and pick up the letter King Kai had received with the instructions on how to make it and the amount one should take.
Once again like with Master Shitake Hank was taking the risk of his life to become normal again. Each version of him I had fallen for because it didn’t change who he was to me, not one bit. I knew why Hank was so familiar now, but that conversation we inevitably had to have would have to wait until we got rid of the three poisons rambling around inside him.
This time a mass amount of smokey green fog wafted around Hank’s furry cat body after he downed the appropriate amount he was to take. The poison that he Tweedle twins and Rabia D’ Angel had used mixed inside the stew began to detoxify in this form as we waited for the final result.
Poof! “f**k!” said Hank.
“Damn! I knew you were Hot Hank, but f**k Issa you are really lucky!” Anfim said with a seductive sigh as he bit his lip while looking downward. Hank had turned back to his previous self, but without any clothing, baring all his naked goodness to our eyes.
“Eyes up here Anfim,” said Hank
“Do I have to? “ Anfim asked in disappointment
“Fifi!” I yelled as I stood in front of Hank blocking his eyesight.
“Ha! I’ll get you some clothes Hank, just wait a moment okay,” said King Kai as he headed over to a wardrobe I hadn't noticed on the way in. He came back with not one but two sets of clothing, one for a male and another for a female. The clothes resembled that of the Fuchsia Islander tribal wear. I looked at King Kai with a confused expression on my face. But only looked at me and smiled.
“Thanks!” Hank said from behind me as he took the male set of tribal clothes from King Kai and began to get dressed in front of us.
“You didn’t want to use the restroom over there.” I whispered to Hank, still covering him from Anfim’s Hungry eyes.
“I’m afraid to move from your shielding, Anfim looks like he will attack me at any minute,” Hank whispered back causing me to almost choke. I looked over at Anfim’s expression to find his eyes glazed over in a daze as he stared at Hank. I smirked shaking my head in exasperation at Anfim’s infatuation over Hank. I guess I was lucky but I wasn’t going to let Fifi know I agreed with him.
“This one is for you Alissa, have you forgotten the traditions of Buttercup Village,” said King Kai as he watched my expression change to one of remembrance. Tonight was a night of new changes and freedom, so not only would the Buttercup Village people be attending but the bulk of Fuchsia Island for the celebration. The Island tribal wear was customary to wear for both visitors and residents.
I of course wasn’t so free in front of Anfim and King Kai to just change. I turned around to face Hank, who blew me away dressed in the Island tribal wear clothing. A gasp escaped my lips as I found myself doing the same as Anfim just with a closer better view.
“Like what you see?” Hank said, that all-knowing purr of a deep voice said with his lips in a sexy smirk.
“Huh, I got to the ….. “ I didn’t even know what I said myself as I left with a spring in my step to the restroom inside the private room. Laughter followed from behind me from both, King Kai and Hank.
“So Hank my man…” Anfim’s voice rang out as I closed the door to the restroom. Shaking my head, I let out a light laugh, as I always seemed to turn into a blubbering mess around Hank. The faint sound of music from the club could be heard as I got changed. They had upgraded from the tribal robes this time around. But that didn’t mean I would like this style more, Why did it have to be a dress?
The light blue silk color of the dress seemed to come alive as held it up in my hands. There were interwoven threads of gold all through it giving it an even more dazzling sight. It was the wrap-around style which I was grateful for because it didn’t need me to do much in terms of putting it on and tying it. After contemplating things I went with the flow and donned the dress. I had never been one for girlie things in exception to my underwear. I felt uncomfortable, but as I looked in the mirror at myself in the tribal dress, I couldn’t help thinking what Hank would think when he saw me.
I left the restroom with my head slightly down folding up my clothes as I walked back toward the trio, who all let out surprised gasps at my appearance. I looked up right into Hank's eyes, sparks flew between us like a fiery fire on the rage as we stared at one another in silence.
“Talk about some serious chemistry whew!” Anfim exclaimed, drawing both Hank and I's attention away from each other. Hank's ears were tinged a bit red having been called out and I smiled shyly thinking how cute he could be even when he wasn’t being my Happy.
“Indeed, indeed, but we have to head out now. The celebration will start soon and then we can send you guys on to where you were headed. Remember to keep your eyes open Tilly is still loose out there. “ Kai said as we all headed out of the private room and followed his lead toward the Butter Club area. Did King Kai have the gift of foresight? I asked myself as we all stopped in our footsteps after arriving at the club to celebrate the Islander’s freedom.
Now we all knew why King Kai and his guards couldn’t find Tilly, it seemed she was going all out since her and her mother's plan had been blown to bits by us. The Dark Fuchsia had come to represent in full force. Where Tilly was, as expected her mother wouldn’t be far behind. Rainbow Rose emerged from the crowd of the Dark Fuchsia clan in all her haughty glory.
“So, this is your trump card huh? How sad for you to have fallen this far.” King Kai growled out his words filled with rage. His aura was strong and menacing making Hank reach out and grab my hand in his as we stood our ground against them.
“So, what if you’re free now, does it make you a king? You could never be one out of your feelings that’s why you were my slave for so long. Hmph! The past is the past now, we are here to exact the marriage law. After all, someone has finally hit the perfect pitch.” Rainbow Rose said with a conceited smile.
What in the hack hell was she getting at? Hank had hit the perfect pitch, what did she mean by exacting marriage law? And who exactly was doing the marriage here her or Tilly? The thought alone made me shiver. I frowned holding my anger back at these two tricks. I made a promise to keep Hank safe no matter what.
“Marriage Law, you say huh, then shouldn’t I be the first to have that right, considering it was a team effort,” I asked bluffing with my words, sensing that this law had something to do with the Dark Fuchsia standing behind her. The club fell into silence before anyone could speak further.
“Well, she isn't wrong.” said one of the people from the dark Fuchsia standing on the other side.
“What! Hey, you cant go back on your words, how is she not wrong!” Tilly yelled with a temper tantrum hovering on the brink.
“Shut it, cousin! Where did you leave your brain? I know exactly what you think are you going to use the nectar from the Euphoria Orchid you destroyed as a bargain? Marriage is never a small matter and more so if it's you! How dare you disgust me further as a woman by doing this. How desperate can you be!” Anfim yelled giving Tilly a deadly glare.
“I’m not, it's just……” Tilly stammered
“Shut it right now! Dare you say another word.” Rainbow Rose cut off the rest of Tilly’s words with a vicious tone causing Tilly to freeze up and hide behind one of the Dark Fuchsia clan members.
“As long as the totem hasn’t been awakened you two should be fine. Either way, she would have to give the nectar from the Orchid over so don’t worry,” said King Kai.
Of course, he had to say this before, one of the Fuchsia blooms came forward with what looked like a glowing totem.
“Should we worry now Uncle Kai, because my eyes don’t deceive me. That is the totem. What are we going to do now? I won't let them force this but we need a plan and fast.” said Anfim.
“I’ll do it!” Hank's voice rang out among the crowd. Leaving the three of us speechless. Was he crazy? Why would he agree to something like that? Unless he had a plan and one we hadn't been privy to just yet.
