Elizabeth's Pov:
After getting home from the hospital, I get a lot of messages from my family, apologizing for my ‘misfortune’ as they call it. My mom and Cindy were absolutely heartbroken. I'm deeply hurt by all of it and people calling me to apologize just make me wanna cry. So instead of sulking, I head downstairs to make dinner when the door bell rings. Anna, the houseskeeper walks in with Miss Milore a few minutes later. She leaves us alone and we stare at each other.
“Oh Elizabeth.” she says after what feels like an eternity. “I don't even know what to say.” There is so much sorrow in her voice.
I run into her arms and cry.
