CHAPTER 9: THE UNBELIEVABLE

"Miss Carter, can you please get us a plate of boeuf bourguignon with mashed potatoes!" Adrian said in a voice loud enough for her boss to hear it.

Mia was startled. It was then that she realized she had been staring at them the whole time.

Just then, Mr ricardo stepped out of his Office.

"I'm sorry Mr Lancaster, are my employee's giving you any trouble?" He asked with a smile.

"No, I just noticed she was less busy and suddenly grew hungry." Adrian said as he turned to Mia with a smirk.

"Mia! You know how we treat customers, We don't keep them waiting, Especially special ones like Mr Lancaster." Mr ricardo said to her.

She immediately turned and headed for the kitchen. She realized what Adrian's move was,

He knew how long boeuf bourguignon would take to prepare, that's why he ordered it. He wanted her out of his way so he could gossip to Ethan..... about her!!!

Damn him.

Just then, Liam stepped in.

"Bummer right?" He said with a teasing smile. "Your two boyfriend's are sitting right on the same table."

Mia rolled her eyes. "They're not my boyfriend's Liam. Geez.

Ethan is my childhood best friend, there's no strings attached.

"And Adrian? "

She turned and looked at his face. reading his expression, she knew he wanted to tease her.

"Come on, you know how much i hate him, he's just such an annoying stalker." Mia replied.

"Mabye the reason he's stalking you, is cause he's in love with you." Luna said from behind.

Mia immediately turned around, surprised. She didn't notice Luna was right behind her this whole time.

"How long have you been here?" She asked.

But Luna just chuckled and handed her a raw potatoes and a knife.

"Your prince charming is waiting for his meal." She said with a smirk.

Mia grabbed the potatoes from her hands with a fake frown on her face. Luna and Liam chuckled.

"It's always like that in the movies. Love at first sights, He starts pestering you, you act reluctant at first, Suddenly realize how handsome he is, then you guys would stare at each other's eyes and make that deep passionate kiss." Liam said as Luna burst out laughing.

Suddenly, Pierre came in. " What's all the commotion about?"

Mia groaned, and just as she was about to reply, Luna beat her to it.

"Mia's thinking of how many kids she's gonna have with Mr-too-rich-to-be-real." She teased.

Pierre's eyes widened and a grin spread across his face." That's interesting."

" You too?! " Mia exclaimed.

" Well you literally slept at his house one night, so don't blame me for judging." Pierre replied with a chuckle.

Just then she turned to luna who immediately smiled sheepishly at her. Luna must have told them this lie, I mean... Who else?!

"How come I never knew about this? Oh you guys are gonna definitely have 5 kids." Liam said with a grin, and they all burst out laughing.

" I didn't sleep at his.... Agrrr. Nevermind." Mia groaned. This was getting a bit annoying. But they didn't seem to care, they were all lost in their laughter.

Until—

" Is my meal ready yet?." Adrian asked.

They all froze on hearing his voice. Then they turned to Mia who stared back at them with a frown.

"Uh... Almost sir Lancaster." Liam replied sheepishly.

Then he turned to Mia and with a low tone, he said "Mia, why is his meal not ready yet?"

"Yeah, you're gonna get us all in trouble." Pierre added.

" Well mabye if you guys would just help me, rather than disturbing, it would be a lot more faster!" She replied angrily, her tone a bit loud. They all shushed her.

Adrian and Ethan turned their gaze to the kitchen on hearing her voice.

"Everything ok in there Mia?" Ethan asked.

But there was no response until Luna replied "Yeah, everything's fine."

Ethan and Adrian both exchanged a glance.

Just then, Mr Ricardo stepped into the kitchen.

"What the hell is going on in here?!" He asked angrily.

But to his surprise, he saw Mia cutting potatoes, Luna grilling the beef, Pierre and Liam were washing the vegetables. They all turned to him with a sheepish smile. Well, all except Mia who still has a frown on her face.

Mr Ricardo couldn't scold them because they were all helping out. "Be quick with it." He said as he left the kitchen.

Minutes later, Liam came out and dropped the meal on their table with a smile. It was already 7:30pm and they were their last customer.

But just then, Adrian stood up and began to walk up to Mia.

"What's he up to this time?" She thought to herself as he stepped closer to her.

But something was wrong, He wasn't stopping. He kept walking closer to her until they were inches apart from each other.

Then he stared deep into her eyes, Mia's heart began to beat faster as she could feel his breath.

A smile spread across his face as he lowered his lips slowly to hers and did "the unbelievable."
