Chapter Thirty-Six
Amina swung her car around the final bend and pulled up directly in front of the museum gates. Before Dawn had a chance to say anything to her, she jumped out of the driver’s seat and ran to the intercom, jabbing the button several times, without waiting for a response.
On the drive over, Amina had explained to Dawn about the legend of Anlet-Un-Ri, and why she was convinced that the dead warrior’s mummy had come back to life and killed Kasim.
Under ordinary circumstances, Dawn would have laughed off the doctor’s explanation. But there was a sincerity in her voice that made Dawn feel as if Amina at least believed that what she was saying was the truth.
