He asked about her work experience, her strengths and weaknesses, and where she saw herself in five years. Cassandra answered each question with confidence. She knew exactly what to say and how to say it. She sold herself as the perfect candidate.
When Dalton asked about her vision for the role, Cassandra leaned forward slightly, genuine enthusiasm showing in her eyes.
"I see this position as more than just administrative work," she responded. "A good secretary anticipates needs before they arise. They understand the business well enough to make informed decisions when the executive isn't available."
It was exactly the right answer. It showed that she understood the role and had the intelligence to excel at it. Even I had to admit, grudgingly, that she was good at this.
